The New Building Bible!!!!
The last three years I’ve been learning how to build. From building coffee tables to remodeling the kitchen. I have spent hours and hours on YouTube and at Home Depot.I knew nothing about any of it. Where was this book three years ago!!😆Each time I turn a page I see things I have learned with even better, clearer and comprehensive explanations!!It is my new Building Bible!!!!❤️❤️❤️THANK YOU!!

A Beautiful and Inspiring Resource
This book does so many wonderful things. It is well made, feels good in the hands, and will look good on a shelf or paint-stained and beat up in the garage. The pictures are great and really bring the text to life which is important for a subject matter that is so visual. What I liked the most was how great the book was written. The author uses easy to understand language that makes building accessible. Building instructions are too often overly technical or poorly worded so it was refreshing that this book was so clearly and casually written. I always thought of carpentry as a craft that could only be passed down from one skilled person to another. However, a lot of that skill is understanding what tools do. This book does an amazing job of explaining tools. Not only does the knowledge in the book provide the confidence needed to embark on complicated projects, the book inspires you to go out and make things. Whether doing this with your kids or on your own, fixing items or creating new ones is incredibly satisfying.

Great book for late teens and even adults.
Bought this book for my daughter so she could be self sufficient around power tools, and have basic car knowledge

Product great; delivery terrible.
The product itself is fine. The delivery stunk! They left a box of books on wet grass in the rain even though my gate code is on my account. Not happy with Amazon!

Too Basic
I’m sure this book has some value, but the first thing I tried to use it for didn’t help. I wanted to know the formula for figuring out square feet. What this book included was the different ways that words related to measurements could be abbreviated. It’s common sense, unimportant and something you learn in elementary school. If this is written for women, it leads you to believe that women are just dumb. I’m not a “handywomen”, but that doesn’t mean I’m dumb. I was hoping this book would outline things and not give me a lesson that children learn in elementary school.

Useful skills for just about everyone in a well-thought out book.
Exactly as shown. Very useful for girls wanting to learn useful and fun skills; also would be good for boys plus adults.

Very nice but not wonderful
I bought this for my 13 year old daughter, as a birthday present. It certainly has some useful and interesting content. A great deal of the book is introducing basic tools and techniques. Then there is a section on how to do things like repair a toilet or patch a wall. Finally, the book offers some projects like building a planter or bird house. Stories of notable women are interspersed throughout. I love the premise of the book so feel a bit churlish in complaining that the many line drawings are not very inspirational. I was hoping for a few more projects, too. All in all, I suspect my daughter will enjoy the book without loving it.
