Even with changing to a brand new pair of cutting pads, adding shims and doing 4 double pass throughs on the machine, only one heart was cut out. The cutting edges even feel dull to the touch.  Looks like others have been successful, maybe I just got a bad piece.  I double checked the item picture to be sure I did not misunderstand what should appear cut or embossed, and my original expectations should have been correct. I also tried various paper weights, including just plain paper and it couldn't even handle that.The seller, however, was very fast and added some goodies to the mailer, so no complaints there.  It's just too big a hassle to go through returns for the few bucks.  What a disappointment.

This is a lovely design and cuts pretty well, but then it is a huge job to get all the little paper pieces cleaned out of the die.
