great headphone hanger
I use this for my Sennheiser hd 58x jubilee headphones. The mount works great!A bit easier than digging out the headphones from the top of my computer case when I need to monitor a quick recording or do some technical audio work on Ableton.I was on the fence about buying it initially because it's almost just as easy to just store the headhphones on my computer below my desk, but it really does save time when you add it up.

Does one thing very well
This headphone hanger is versatile, easy to pop on and off, and stays rock solid despite me running bodily into it from time to time. It has faithfully held my PC headphones for four years now, and I am so glad to have it.To quiet some of the fears I have seen about surface damage, it so far has not caused major damage to surfaces I've placed it on. Given that it's metal, there will be wear and tear on tables and desks over time, but if you are careful, you can clamp thin cloths or other batting underneath in an unobtrusive way. There isn't much else to say about a chunk of metal for hanging headphones. If you need one, and this configuration will work for you, go for it. If I needed another hanger, I'd buy a second one of these without hesitation.

Stylish minimalist can holder that works though has a few minor issues
1. Clamp heightThis product almost didn’t work for me because when it came, as you can see in the pic, the clamp looked like it was narrowing towards tip and measured only 1 3/8” after clearing the padding. How can it be since I read it covers up to 1 5/8”?But then I read the direction, loosened the hex to slide the mechanism wider and was able to get it on my studio desk of 1 1/2” thickness.2. Depth of bracket / Protrusion of holderMy desk’s lip is only 1 3/8” deep but it almost fit perfectly so it’s nice and flush. The headphone holder only protrudes a total of 2 7/8” from the face of the desk so my cans stay close to the desk without getting in the way of my Nord 88 keyboard set up perpendicularly to the desk. That’s the reason I went with this item after having my heart almost set on the #1 headphone holder from Eurpmask that protrudes out a whopping 3.93”.3. Adhesion / MechanismUnfortunately, I found the adhesion quite lacking- I suspect this was combination of my polished studio desk & the smooth metal of the clamp bolt. Bracket actually shifts around if I try to pry it, but not loose enough for it to be accidentally bumped off. Also, the bolts are a bit finicky to work with because you have to first hold the hex bracket straight while tightening the hex and then tighten the clamp screw which towards the end of its extension takes a ton of force to even budge! And contrary to other reviews mine didn’t come with the Allen key tool, though I had a spare.4. StyleBut the product itself seems solid with mat black metal and really works with my dark walnut stained studio desk. Points for this minimalistic style.5. UseI didn’t feel that my cans easily slipped despite the holder not having any lip. I’ll update after sustained daily use in a few months if it does become an issue.

Just what I needed, wanted, and expected!
This is a very, very high-quality headphone holder. The 3 things I LOVE about it are:1. High quality build. It's built of thick metal with a very hard, matte coating of paint.2. It can be mounted to a horizontal surface (such as a desktop, table top, shelf, etc) OR a vertical surface (such as a desk leg, bookshelf side, etc). I chose to mount it to a desk vertical support just below the desktop, that way the holder won't take up ANY of my desktop surface.3. The actual holder where the headphones sit is curved. Too many companies make a flat surfaced headphone holder. Over time, the corners of that flat surface will be evident on the headphone band. So, to be fair.... here are 3 criticisms of the headphone holder:1. The round, silver part of the clamp is fixed on the screw that you use to tighten/loosen the clamp. It would be better if the round part was able to swivel on the screw as you tightened it. This would prevent the silver clamp from marring surfaces.2. The screw which holds the headphone holding piece to the mounting bracket piece(s) sticks out to where your headphones go (this is visible in the product photos). It isn't a sharp screw, so it shouldn't scratch or damage anyone's headphones, BUT it does take up some real estate which may be needed for large head bands. It's not an issue for me, but it may be for some.3. Um.... nope. I don't have a 3rd criticism.A couple items of note:1. I don't see anything about a warranty listed in the product description. The product box states that there is a 12-month warranty. However, the documentation included inside the box clearly states there is a 24-month warranty. With that said.... I don't think anything could go wrong in 24 YEARS with this... maybe it would start to rust at some point, if exposed to enough moisture??2. Seemed some other reviewers didn't know what to do with their headphone cords and said they still hang down to the ground. The easy solution is to wrap/loop the cord up and place it on the headphone holder first, then when you put your headphones on the holder, it'll hold the cord in place. I think that should work for all but the largest, fluffiest headphones.

Issues Galore, though SOLUTIONS....
This little thing came with an unexpected host of problems. Unpacking it, I realised it wasn't going to fit my desk in any way (horizontal or vertical) since it wasn't wide enough. i was pleased to see that it was adjustable via the allen screw. It comes supplied with an allen key / screwdriver hybrid tool. This proves useless as the screen cannot be moved for love nor money by hand (I realize this sounds ridiculous, but I'm a once-was hand strength and conditioning specialist for what that might add to the credibility!). I couldn't even lever the screw with the weight of a sunbed. Out comes the drill. I had to clamp it between the floor and a box and using the drill with an allen key piece, i gave it a short firm burst and it loosened.Fitting and attempting to clamp to the desk; I gave the supplied tool a try with the screwdriver end which is required for the clamp screw. I went as far I could go and the hanger is still slack (on the vertical). What's more, the clamp hadn't tightened, the evident poor quality metal, had just bent. Therefore, there's enough so far you can go with the clamp (which is not enough) before the metal bends. Testing it, I could easily bend the metal with my hands. The fact that this cannot hold on the vertical is bolstered by the unfathomable issue of there not being a stop on the end of the hanger to prevent potentially expensive headphone dropping to the floor. If the hanger slackens or is knocked very slightly, that 'hanger' is now a RAMP. Being the proud owner of HD660s, that's a concern as I'm sure it is for others.Note that this sagging will not be an issue for horizontal mounting. Finally, the adjustment allen screw is just waiting to scratch your headphones headband. A rubber cap should be supplied. Some SOLUTIONS:* Stack adhesive pads onto the end of the hangar to make your own stop.* Use a bit of double sided tape (Mammoth is great) to secure to prevent sagging downwards.* Use another adhesive pad (rubber or material) to stick on the allen screw to prevent scratching.SEE PHOTOS for these mods.

Sturdy, premium-feel and design, great!
Sleek and sturdy all-metal design, secure and stable when fitted, relatively easy to adjust, wide/deep/large enough area to hang even chunky headphones, I just wish it could be tightened slightly more (I've overcome this hurdle by placing a small piece of wood (happened to be the first thing I had around) between the tightening surface and the desk/table top).Hard to believe that I've been using this headphone stand for literally around 5 years at the time of writing this review, which is a testament to its reliability and value for money!(Someone asked me about it, and suddenly realised I never wrote a review, so here we are, what a 5 years it's been..)

Does what you'd expect and seems very sturdy.
A nice way to keep your headphones somewhere out of the way but accessible, simple to set up and seems very sturdy. It includes an hex/allen key with a screw driver at the other end which is the only tool you need to set it up. To use it horizontally it's just a case of attaching it via the clamp to whatever horizontal surface. To flip it to the other orientation, you just have to undo a hex screw, turn it, tighten that screw then use the clamp. It's obvious once it's in your hand anyway. If you have a nice set of headphones, you should really have something like this and I can't think of any way that this wouldn't do the job perfectly so long as you have somewhere suitable to attach it, a surface about an inch and a half deep and no more than about an inch deep should be fine.

Versatile little clamp and hook
This hook is very versatile. Its quite a simple design overall which you can adjust to clamp onto the horizontal edge of a desk top or vertical side of a table leg.I ended up clamping it to the lower half of my desk lamp.It feels pretty solid metal, but the thread of the screw was a little difficult to tighten for me. It also only has one side of the clamp with foam on, I might suggest both sides having foam or something for grip. In the end I employed a bit of cardboard and bluetack inside the clamp to add a bit more friction and that's done the job very well.

it's a nice sturdy headphone hanger and it's easy to install
I brought this to hold my new work headphones, it's a nice sturdy headphone hanger and it's easy to install. It's capable of holding very big headphones like my home Razer Tiamat 7.1 true surround sound speakers and easily holds my work Sennheiser HD 449's so I've decided to order another one.The only gripes I have with it are I wish the hanger was a little longer so as my Tiamats only just fit but considering the size of the headband not many others will have this issue and my sennheisers which are more of an average size fit with more than enough spare room to hang a second pair. My other issue is the tool which comes with it broke easily while tightening it to the desk, not a real issue though as it says there isn't included in the description but it would have been nice to have the tool made of a stronger metal.Overall a great headphone hanger with no real downsides just a few niggles which would only effect you if you have larger headphones.
