I like this detergent. It cleans well. Doesn’t make my clothes smell like they’ve been washed in industrial slug. It also doesn’t make the inside of my washer grow mold. Yes, I had to take my washer detergent distributing area completely apart and scrub a lot of black mold off of the plastic and rubber parts. It didn’t take months for this mold to form. It took days. I did not know detergents did that. Now I do. Other detergents can also turn into some sort of slime blobs when mixed with certain other additives such as liquid clothing softeners. It’s been a real challenge to find products that do clean, yet do not leave alien life forms on my clothes.

Throughout life, I experienced skin-gashing rashes -- often in embarrassing places -- until a dermatologist's lab culture determined I have contact dermatitis, set afire by the "parfum" and/or "fragrance" found in too many household skincare products. I was forced to get rid of every product that contacted my skin, with Seventh Generation Free & Clear as my new laundry detergent.Using this triple-enzymatic, hypoallergenic detergent leaves my clothes no less fresh and clean, and more importantly, I'm free of skin breakouts. It was odd to first associate strong cleaning power with something odorless, as previous detergents had a telltale laundry detergent smell. Our new favorite clean laundry detergent. Soft scent of lavender and NO harsh chemicals. I have very sensitive skin and I’ve never reacted to this laundry soap. Would recommend a thousand times over for anyone looking for clean, plant based detergent.

We've used Seventh Generation products, including the laundry detergent for a long time. They have excellent products and the laundry detergent is among them. It cleans clothes and especially the bed sheets so well and my husband doesn't itch and sneeze!We get both the unscented and the lavender.

This is my favorite new laundry detergent. The smell is wonderful, like fresh oranges, without being overwhelming for my sensitivities. It cleans better than the Evo brand and arm and hammer.

Aside from making my own, Seventh Generation is the only detergent we use. Much more enviro friendly than most detergents. The EWG Skin Deep website shows this has no ingredients that may cause health issues (surprisingly, many environmentally friendly & "safe" detergents still have some, even mid risk ingredients).We prefer this over popular "baby safe" detergents and use for entire family.

I use Seventh Generation a lot. Wouldn't go back to using the national brands as they really mess up the bacteria in our septic tank!

I love everything about it! It smells lovely, cleans clothes thoroughly, and doesn’t harm anybody’s skin. And I have ordered it multiple times, with no issues with packaging such as leaks. Would totally recommend, great natural detergent!

If you order this, make sure you order it alone and separately, since it can break and leak everywhere in the package. We ordered it with a bunch of other baby stuff, and this container broken and leaked everywhere. We had to deal with sending it back and reordering everything again. Was a pain in the butt...

Great detergent, love Seventh Generation products. I have developed pretty sensitive skin and found I was starting to react to my old detergent that I had used for years. When looking it up, I found out about all the chemicals, preservative, fragrances, dyes, etc they put in regular detergent. Switched over to natural and never going back. Even when I get a scented detergent from SG I don't have issues. Cleans well and is fragrance free. Very gentle on your skin and clothes.

I order these as part of our subscription. However, the package arrive with leakage. No fun to clean up. On the other hand, it's not worth the effort to carry the heavy box to postal office for the return.

We recently found out our daughter is allergic to scents and several chemicals. The allergist recommended this brand for laundry detergent. It’s been a few months now since switching from harsh chemical laundry detergent. I absolutely love this. My daughters skin has cleared. Our laundry has no smell at all which I love. Our clothes are clean and there’s no residue left behind like my old detergent used to do. Highly recommend even if you don’t have allergies.
