Works great!
I have a variety of jewelry that I’m not sure if they are CZ, diamond or something else. This tester has been verifying what i already knew were real diamonds against the other items that I’m unsure of and so far it’s been working great! It came with a small loupe that I’m glad to have. It has a tiny light on it and has helpful. I’d buy this again if I needed to…

I wish I knew how easy it was to return products purchased through Amazon when I bought this. I was in the jewelry business for years and I used to be able to instantly tell the real thing from the imitations. When my eyesight began to deteriorate, and the intricate details that distinguish the real from the fake were fading from my eyes, I purchased this product to be an assistant to my eyes. As soon as I received it, I tested the product on several different diamonds that I KNOW are diamonds, and this device did not agree. I then tested it on several sapphires and rubies, (which can occasionally but rarely fool REAL diamond testers) this device thought that all of the rubies and sapphires were diamonds. If I knew how easy it is to return purchases from Amazon, I would have returned this worthless product the day I received it. It is as reliable as a mesh condom.

While you have to have some knowledge of the stones you test, once you do it's easy to use.

Not very well made .. hard to understand directions . It works on a Diamond . Don’t think it was really worth the money… But really don’t care about sending it back

The stone, I tested it on, was a not diamond. So, the less rating I gave to the device is because of the stone I tested it on and not because of the machine itself. After machine failed to detect it as a diamond, I did hot-cold test, due to which the stone cracked. Still, I can't say the machine is good or bad because I don't have a real diamond.
