More than 5 stars are needed to rate this masterpiece!
"Truths We Confess: A Systematic Exposition of the Westminster Confession of Faith" by R.C. Sproul is a comprehensive examination of the Westminster Confession and the Reformed tradition.Dr. Sproul has created a masterpiece for anyone wanting a thorough explanation of such an important subject. The book is very readable and exhibits Dr. Sproul's great depth of knowledge. I encourage you to dive into this jewel the first chance you get! Also, I think this book supports what I have indicated in many of my own manuscripts from which I'll quote below:"God's metering of omnipotent grace via infinite wisdom explains God's amazing character, and is displayed in a grand way throughout every page of the Bible!'Meter' means 'to provide in measured quantities'. Being omnipotent, God meters between zero and an unlimited amount of grace (i.e., divine influence according to His infinite wisdom, which explains every verse in the Bible!)."Yes, this masterpiece created by Dr. Sproul will likely compel students of God's Word to study many more biblical passages that speak to the absolute sovereignty of God, such as the sampling below:1. John 6:44...No man can come to me, except the Father which has sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.2. Dry bones come to life
I have read and listened to RC Sproul for years and love his communication style, both verbally and in writing. The Westminster Confession came to life for me in this exposition. I imagined hearing Dr. Sproul delivering it as a sermon or lecture. I have incorporated reading sections of it into my daily devotions and have been thoroughly blessed.

Great Gift for a Reformed Husband
I bought this book for my husband for Christmas. He loves Sproul and has been watching a video series of a systematic exposition of the Westminster confession. This book is a perfect addition to his library.

Amazing Book!
I bought this book in Audible, and the moment I started listening to it I knew I had to physically buy it because I needed to go over it thoroughly. And now that I got it I just can say how grateful I am to be able to have it and savor it, page by page. I would consider it a huge blessing for my long learning journey through scripture.Thank you Lord God,Thanks to R. C. Sproul and Pastor Richard Goswiller for making this possible.

An absolute joy to read.
In Truths We Confess, Dr. R. C. Sproul helped me gain an insight into the Gospel that I have never had before. His careful and yet gentle exposition of the Westminster Confession of Faith brought this ancient document to life and made it as relevant as if it were written just yesterday. I say gentle because I am prone to be a slow learning person, and I usually have to read and reread written material just to be sure I understood it. But not this time. Dr. Sproul’s easy writing style was made to order for theologically untrained people like me. I wanted to understand this document because I knew it would help me really think through and appreciate the doctrines of the Christian faith. What can I say? It’s just a brilliant book. It’s pastoral and edifying and an absolute joy to read.

A much needed book for Christians today
In much of the Christian church the foundational doctrines, or truths, of the Christian faith have been neglected, and thus unknown to those who call themselves Christians. Dr. Sproul takes one of the great Confessions - the Westminster Confession - and he expounds on the truths behind the truth. It is a much needed book, and every Christian would profit by a study of it.

The protestant party line alla Westminster confession
Here it is. Christianity founded in the 16th century by Luther and perfected to infallible formulae by John Calvin a generation later! It's the westminster confession catechised. Its 16th century post-Catholic Christianity. I'm done with it. It was good while it lasted. But such ideas of imputed justification and OSAS cannot be found in the early Church anywhere other than a contentious and novel reading of 2 of st Paul's letters and the Gospel of John. We all know it.I read McGrath's book on Justification and saw the novelty of protestant ideas on justification. I went Orthodox. I put this book into the Oxfam book bin at Sainsbury's. I moved on. Forgive me.
