The fixture is pretty much what you are expecting. It’s not really made from a thick metal but then again it’s a light and you don’t want it to weigh 30lbs.The things that made this 3 stars and not 4 to 4.5.1. The lamp fixture was not the exact color is was expecting. Fortunately it ended up being a better match with my new fan I had just installed.2. The fixture was a light iron color and the cord was brown.3. The ceiling cover sent with the fixture was bronze.4. The chain was a dark color almost black.5. The mounting brackets were rudimentary and I ended up at Home Depot to buy ones that worked.6. I spent about $40 at Home Depot for hardware and spray paint to get the chain, ceiling mount cover and other hardware to match from a color standpoint with the light fixtures.7. No instructions on how to install the fixture at all.8. For $80 per fixture it could have been a little better put together.9. Only one light bulb was included with one of the fixtures, none in the second one. I ended up buying different bulbs.In the end, they look great and are exactly what I want, but it took $40+, Home Depot, spray paint and quite a bit of my time to get them their.

Overpriced. I chose this light because of the color marbles and I’m happy about those! One side has bright/hard colors, like red, blue etc which I don’t prefer, but the other side has pastels and they’re excellent. Love them! 2 things make it over priced. #1 it came with rust (see pic). Tin would be expected to rust over time naturally, but you can’t charge $80 and send one already rusting with paint chips. The second issue is the opening for the bulb. It’s suoer visible and right next to the colors I like. I’ve tried to get it closed as much Ad possible but I don’t want to break it. Otherwise the light is awesome! I love the colors it offers.

This hung in my entrance foyer for about 2 years. When I sold my place I took it down (before the potential buyers saw it) and will put up in my new home. It is exactly what I expected and wanted! We love the stars that it broadcasts on the walls and ceiling when turned on. It is a little tricky to hang and change the light bulb but well worth the effort. Yes, I would buy again and again and again....

Overall I like it. It doesn’t have a switch to turn it off and on so it must be plugged and unplugged each time. I will add a switch later. There is no latch on the door to keep it locked. Besides that it is beautiful. I had one before and I enjoyed it. This one is sealed with a clear painted finish so it should resist rust longer than my old one I purchased while in Mexico.

Exceeded my expectations. Looks great during day, but at night the light glows from within the star and makes a lovely dappled pattern on the house and ground. Perfect light to provide a unique, welcoming light at a front door.

I specifically ordered this star because it didn't have the gems on it like many others do. The picture clearly shows that it does not have gems. What I received was one with the colored gems. The picture must be a stock photo. Plus, there was a place on the star where the metal was broken and bent in.

The price on this was great, I have priced them everywhere and this was the best. It is quality made and very pretty when lit up or unlit. It doesn't come with a chain, but that was easy enough went to the local hardware store and bought 6 feet of bronzechain and it was perfect. I am very pleased with this purchase and will be buying a couple more in different size's but definately from this seller.

Love this star lamp. Have had so many compliments on it. It is a show piece at night!
