Good quality , fantastic price, does what it says
This is a good quality product, i bought it as I lost my spare remote for the garage door. This appeared to be a cheaper solution . I was a bit worried that the WiFi signal wouldn’t reach the device in the garage, so I tested it before wiring it all up and signal was fine. For the price it’s a no brainer , it works really well and very easy to setup . Definitely recommend

Cheap & cheerful but it works if you have an internal push button to open/close the garage door.
I bought this so that I could open my garage door remotely for deliveries and it was the cheapest option available. It is cheap and cheaply made......the usb lead fell apart the first time I pushed it into the box (this itself is tiny and lightweight but works). No matter I had another lying around and I needed a usb power source anyway (as it states in the description and so was to be expected). It only connects to the wifi via 2.4g. The ewelink app is quite basic and tells you it is only compatible with 2.4g...a real pain if you have a dual band hub and phone that connects to the best source...5g! I struggled with this until I worked out that if I took the box and phone to the limits of my wifi signal then my phone connected to 2.4g and it would only then let me set up the wifi connection for the box. Once this had been done, I added the ewelink skill on Alexa and Alexa told me that it had found a new device without any further effort. The wires to connect to the garage door opener are very thin....like fuse wire in fact. They are also very short about 6 inches. This limits where you can place the box for a wifi signal significantly. They came with only about 5mm bare wire so I had to burn off 10mm of insulation in order to have enough exposed wire to connect. This allowed me to connect via the push button terminals on my door opener however. The push button still works too. It needs the magnetic sensor to know if the door is open or closed....or on & off in the ewelink or Alexa app. This was simple to install and I used the included 3M self adhesive pads included.I have set up Alexa to open and close the door via voice commands. A worry I know as a burglar could shout "Alexa open the garage door" outside a window and hope that a nearby Echo picks it up. For that reason, the verbal command that I have set up is a little more obscure! So in summary, it works but it doesn't seem too robust. Hopefully, it will last but only time will tell. It is half the price of the next wifi garage door opener so worth a punt and I do not know if they are any more robust or even work. I will post again in a year or when if it fails....whichever happens first.I have given it 4 stars because it works but app is a pain and it appears flimsy.

Brilliant
Simple to install and works great. My garage door control box has an input for a hardwired wall switch, simple press once to open, press again to close, just connect it there and it works great.Easy to connect to Google Home but no idea about alexa. For the price it's brilliant.

Ease of use.
Easy install and setup. Only problem is it shows up in Alexa as a “light”. So to open the garage you have to ask Alexa to “turn on garage door”!No problem though. It works really well.

Small and works entirely reliably
I purchased this to control the operation of a garage door via Alexa and Ewelink. The unit is surprisingly small. It was relatively easy to install, however the connecting wires were rather fine and required careful stripping and handling... (making off connections to the motor unit might not be too easy for those not used to handling miniature electronic wiring). The magnet and switch used to sense the Garage "Door Closed" position are very small ... in my case I needed to make a small bracket plate to arrange for them to be within a mm or two in the "Door Closed" position. (I found that their orientation and distance was critical. For reliable operation the distance between them needed to be closer than that implied in the installation instructions). The device paired up to my WiFi Router quickly .... (it is important to turn 5Ghz band off on the router to obtain pairing). Once paired the 5Ghz can be switched back on again, the unit will thereafter remain paired. The unit has worked entirely reliably since I installed it, the Ewelink App indicates the door status giving confidence that the door is "Closed" without the need to physically check it. The Alexa voice control is a convenient feature, permitting the door to be operated from anywhere. In Alexa is possible to set up an automatic instruction to "Close the Door" irrespective of its state, at a set time, say for overnight peace of mind. Excellent value for money, recommended....

Needs better instructions.. No guidance on app
Lack of institutions on what the app actually does ..Had to find a video .wanted it to warn me if the door was left open .. haven't figured that out yet..

Easy to setup and Excellent Value
I purchased for my garage door, however my garage door has 2 buttons one for up and one for down. Therefore I purchased 2 switches, named one garage open and one garage closed.Added them to Alexa using the Ewelink skill for Alexa so can voice operate through my amazon Echo, and also created a scene with Ewelink for Siri to voice operate on my Iphone, which means on IOS 14 you can create shortcuts on your iphone direct to the open and close buttons and dont have to open Ewelink.Ive never doen anything like this before but it was really easy to setup so would rate these 5 star for ease and value.
