Update - I now have had contact with the company selling these who have explained there was a dispatch error in the unit I received. They have been very prompt and helpful in dealing with my issue. They offered a replacement unit which I declined. I was also offered £8.99 compensation. I would deal with this company again. I have since bought other RAV equipment (USB Nikon Battery Charger) which is of the quality I would expect. I ordered what I thought to be the above charger - when it arrived it was labelled as 65W (not 80W) and had no AC input socket to charge the appliance ( this can be seen in the advertising photographs). Contacted Amazon, whom I normally find to be first class and they stated it was not on their inventory and therefore not really their concern. Told to return the item for a refund but I had to pay the postage which will be refunded at a later date. I asked how they would stop other people receiving the 65W version whilst paying for the superior 80W version - not really their concern? I know this feedback is not about the appliance which looks good but thought it fair to warn other would-be purchasers. I own several other pieces of RAV kit which I have found to be of great quality and functionality.

UPDATE:Be prepared that if the power bank doesn't work you will be expected by Amazon to pay for the return at your own expense - although they will refund your return cost up to £4.74 or thereabouts. Unfortunately, as this is a prohibited item, you will not be able to return via a cost effective option such as the royal mail/post office. You will need to return using another carrier such as DHL, Fed Ex, UPS for alot more than Amazon will refund you. Awesome. Worst purchase ever.So I bought this for the AC outlet to help give my macbook pro a longer battery life as I use it out and about quite alot. Although the macbook has a 60W magsafe power adapter this would not work despite being within the advertised ability of this power bank. I tried 3 different camera battery chargers in the AC outlet and none would work - the lights would come on to show that the power bank had power and the charging light on the camera battery charger would come on but after 30 seconds the lights would go out on the power bank. I also tried to charge my lenovo tablet and a small two way radio that I use for work via the AC outlet - no joy - but when I plugged the same items in to charge via the USB port they did charge! Eureka! Unfortunately I bought this for the AC outlet not the USB. Didn't get much help from RavPower customer support: I wanted to be sure that it "should" work with the macbook 60w power adapter but all they wanted me to do was get another cable (at £80 when the one I have already works via the mains power supply? I don't think so) They then suggested sending it back to Amazon for a replacement. I'm sending it back, but not for a replacement (as Amazon didn't even offer that option anyway). Very disappointed. In terms of presentation the item is a nice compact size and comes with its own case which has a little extra space for cables and other plugs; if it had actually worked as advertised this would have been something I would have been using regularly.

I bought this to power my macbook pro (non-USB C) as unfortunately I cannot use existing USB C PD powerbanks that I own.Has an 80W output which means it is able to charge my macbook at 65W without any issues. Will do a full charge and more.I'm also able to plug in my phone to charge via USBC at same time.The device is not small, definitely won't be keeping it in your pocket. Build quality is fantastic, the exterior has a soft material that feels very nice. Was surprised to see it also came with full zip case which feels high quality - should help prevent any scracthes.Finally the power socket that it has is a UK socket, but they have a clever adaptor they give you so you can use it with many countries without having to have your own plug adaptor.

I’ve had my eye on this for a while and eventually took the hit (it’s fairly significant investment). Item arrived next day, thanks to Prime.First thing I noticed taking the charger out of the box is that it’s fairly heavy and has that premium feel as per my previous RavPower products. I purchased as I’m often on the go with a series of devices (phone, tablet, laptop) and I’ve been caught in situations where I need more power and I can’t get to a socket.The charger has USB and USB-C ports along with a UK socket option. Having used both USB ports, it seems to charge the devices ok.But the main event.. is the laptop charging for me. Plug in the 65W charger and... nothing. And then I hold the power button, and the machine comes to life. Blue lights confirm the charger is in use and the laptop charges. I shouldn’t be surprised, but I was impressive that something so compact can actually power my laptop on the go. You’ll know it’s working, because the fans can get quite loud. Not a problem for me, but sit on a quiet carriage and you’ll get some funny looks. Overall it’s a good option for taking a power source when travelling with your laptop.
