Wish I Had This Sooner!
Used this UTK FAR INFRARED HEATING PAD (not the tourmaline stones) daily for a month before writing this.I love it! I have early-onset Parkinson's Disease and my left leg cramps up throughout the night in excruciating pain but heat holds that at bay. This heating pad is long enough at 24 by 36 to be able to wrap-around my leg to ease the cramping. It has worked wonderfully! It's a great one to put on a massage table for massage or exercise too. I'm very impressed with the quality. Very nice electrical connectors that snap into place so they're not constantly being pulled out, nice tight connection from the cord to the pad and an easy to read and operate interface on the controller. I'm going to try to post some pictures of the pad laying flat on my massage table. It comes with a carrying case you can fold into a roughly 10 by 10 square for travel. I laid out Bobby pins in the photo along the points were the actual cords extend on the pad. There is about a 4" border with no wires in it. I sometimes wish it wasn't quite so wide but it really doesn't matter. It's a nice soft fleece fabric that will keep you warm anyway. They have a very good product brochure that you should read. I'm extremely happy with the preset temperature memory control. It makes keeping things comfortable easy. I would order 5 more of these. I paid $129 when I bought it in March 2020. Expensive I know, but I've learned now not to buy cheap, crapy heating pads. This one also has the far infrared technology which are heating pad. You may want to research that technology. I highly recommend it but there is a short learning curve - give it a week or so before you find the right temperature and the right feel for it. Then it will be your best friend. :)

I like this one much better.
Two years ago I purchased a different brand of infra-red heating pad. I liked it very well and used it nearly every single night and as often during the day when I needed to rest. After 2 years it gave out. I ordered two more, one to lie on, and one to lie over me. But the company had made changes in the intervening time. For one thing, they had put in a cut-off time of only one hour. Also because people had complained that the light was too bright (the on-off light button) they designed the new light so that it would dim. Then I found this one, this UTK brand, and noted that the user has the ability to adjust the cut-off time up to four hours. Also, it has a temperature feature so the user can control the temperature. It has a memory so that a preferred setting can be recalled. And, the warranty is longer. Since I had not opened the second one, I returned it and then ordered this one, the UTK. And I just love it.When I am suffering the burning pain of fibromyalgia, lying on the infra-red soothes nearly instantly. Muscle cramp? Put the heated pad on the affected muscle; the cramp melts away. It's like magic. And I love the ability to control the temperature and cut-off time. I put the other one away until I need it for being the one on top.

Worth the investment!
I have had this heating pad for 7 months now and love it. I use it every night and several times during the day throughout the week for fibro pain. It’s a different kind of heat so don’t expect it to be exactly the same as a conventional heating pad. It’s way better. I like how you can save a preset and recall it with your settings. I wish I could set it for a longer time or even continuous. My only other issue is that it’s just a little bit stiff. I lay directly on it each night and it sometimes will bunch up a little bit because it’s not as stretchy as a normal pad. But that’s a very small thing. I’m extremely glad I just spent the extra money on this one instead of a conventional one. I figured since it’s something I use everyday then I might as well get a nice one. If that’s you, just make the investment and go for it. You won’t be disappointed.

Large and flexible pad but doesn't heat properly (see Update)
This is not my first infrared pad so, as far as it's efficacy in relieving pain, I'm a big fan. The size of this pad overall is 3 feet by 2 feet. It's like a mini blanket. The heating element is recessed by about 3 inches all around so, that makes for a large surface area of heat. The pad is very thin and flexible so that you can wrap it around you and get those hard to treat parts like a knee, a hip or shoulder/neck. And, it comes in a sturdy zippered carry bag.The heating control has a timer and you can set the timer from 15 minutes to 240 minutes (4 hours) for auto shut off. It has a heating range of from 103 degrees up to 159 degrees** so, that range can suit anybody. And both temperature and time can be stored in the memory.**UPDATE:After multiple uses over the past week, I am finding that the temperature moves up from room temperature to 100 degrees quite quickly but then, it hovers around 100 to 103 degrees. Just not warm enough. It barely reaches 125 degrees (my favorite heat setting) and, that temperate can only be reached by putting a blanket over the heating pad while it is draped over you to keep the heat in I'm figuring. I would have loved this if not for that fact.
