Not at all friendly with my Singer Stylist sewing machine
I'm quite new to sewing and had this product recommended to me in order to help me get more accurate results when sewing smaller pieces of fleece fabric together. At first, this product seemed like a godsend! But, quite soon after, my sewing machine started skipping stitches wherever Steam A Seam 2 had been applied. At first, I tried adjusting tension, getting a walking foot, and switching out to a ballpoint needle. This didn't fix the issue at all. After several days of frustration, I finally found the keywords that narrowed down my issue on google. Apparently Steam A Seam 2 isn't really meant for sewing, even though the package says that sewing is "OK" and won't gum up the needle. An article I found online recommended the Lite version for machine sewing, so I will give that a try next. I just hope that my review helps out others who run into the same issues that I have.

Great product— poor inventory
I use this product for raw edged appliqué in quilting and for card making. This is actually a great product which I have relied upon many times in the past. However, this batch was totally unusable. When the product gets old due to prolonged or inadequate storage, the paper does not adhere to the bonding material as it should. When one tries to draw shapes or cut them out, the paper backing just falls away, preventing one from drawing accurately. Worse, when one tries to cut, the scissors end up cutting the bonding material itself, thus gumming up the scissors and ruining the shape. I had to throw out both packages. I will never buy from this vendor again.

Would not buy again
I'd give this 0 stars if I could. The fusible is sandwiched between two layers of paper, but is not properly adhered to either. I traced my design on the paper as directed, then peeled off the other side of paper and the fusible went with it. So then I retraced the pattern on the other side, stuck it onto the fabric, cut out the piece and tried to peel the paper off, and the fusible went with it! Worthless product and a waste of my money. I'll go back to using Pellon.

Steam-a-Seam
This product did exactly what I needed it to do (a light adhesive for collage quilting). It’s tackiness allowed me to place pieces of fabric in place and replace pieces to get just the right look.

Not for sewing
I used it to applique a tee shirt. The applique looked good, but my machine needle was badly gummed up. I had to change needles and take my machine bobbin area apart and clean it with alcohol to remove the residue. I will use the Steam a Seam 2 for things that I don't sew

Great stuff!
Perfect for temporary positioning of fabric during creative process, then ironing it on permanently when satisfied with design. Excellent product for this purpose!

Great Product!
This is PERFECT for raw-edge applique and I had a zillion tiny little pieces. It's wonderful stuff and you can pick up the piece and reposition it over and over again before you're positive you have it JUST RIGHT and then you iron it for permanence. Love it!

Very helpful and easy to use
This is great for appliqué. I'm making a quilt and this is easy to sew through many layers and does not gum up your needle. It holds your piece in place very well. I always sew around project even though it says not required.
