Product description Suavecito Strong Hold Pomade Taking Suavecito’s Original Hold pomade formula and kicking it up a notch, Suavecito’s Firme Hold Pomade is an extra strength hair styling pomade. For those days your hair needs a little extra ‘help’, this water soluble pomade will tame anything you throw at it. Directions: Apply to DRY hair for less shine and a stronger hold. Apply to DAMP hair for more shine and a slightly less stronger hold Start with a quarter sized amount in your palm. Rub product into hands and fingers. Work into hair with fingertips from the roots up. Ensure even distribution of product. Comb to desired style. To remove, simply wash out with water. Strong hold - medium shine Washes out easily with just water No harsh chemicals and never flakes Great for: side parts, slick backs, pompadours Proudly made in the United States. This formula works great for curly, thick or stubborn hair. Pompadours, slick backs and side parts can be styled with ease. Strong and tough but still combs in with ease. With the same awesome base ingredients and scent as our original, this pomade washes out easily and doesn’t flake. No need for any special soaps or shampoos. It dries with a high firmness and medium shine. Review: Great for VERY thick, straight hair - This stuff is awesome. After using primarily junk pomaded from the grocery store (axe, Dove, Suave, etc etc, I've tried most of them) and having to supplement that with hairspray to get my hair to hold, I decided to spend a little more and get something with better. I started doing some research and was drawn to this. I ultimately decided to go with the Firme Hold because my hair is incredibly thick and very straight, making it difficult to style the way I want without have crusty, nasty hair. This stuff is a god send. I find myself using no more than a penny-Nickel size amount on one finger, then rubbing onto my hands and finger tips and it does the job. This is much less than I am accustomed to using. It also leaves my hair feeling soft and healthy looking. The best part? It's water activated and water soluble, meaning if you find your hair starting to go flat in the day, just put a little (and I mean little) water on your hands and lightly run through your hair to get more hold. At the end of the day, it washes out with extreme ease. Also, it smells really good (kind of a cologne smell, but it's not overly strong. You wouldn't be able to smell it on someone unless you were hugging). Here are some very important tips if you have a hard time due to thick, straight hair. Lightly towel dry your hair leaving it damp and squirt a couple shots of Argan Oil into your palm and work into wet hair, styling the way you want. You'd be amazed at the level of shine and hold just doing this gives you, drastically reducing the amount of styling paste or pomade you need (also, it's really good for your hair). Then blow dry. Yes, I said blow dry. This is the single most important step. Blow dry your hair in the way you want it styled. If you want good hair, you need to man up and be willing to spend the time (for guys it only takes like 3 minutes tops). Also, invest in a good brush with round tips. I recommend the Quiff Brush sold by Uppercut. It adds volume to your hair and also does an incredible job in helping you style your hair. Lastly, put your pomade in. If you followed the above steps, you should find that you need less pomade for the hold you're trying to achieve. And with having good looking hair, less product is more. Hope that helps. Everyone enjoy! Review: Damn near perfect. - Well let’s get to the nitty gritty. If you are looking at this product, you are probably looking at the Layrite Strong Hold and maybe Uppercut also in addition to the Sauvetico Firme. Firstly, I didn’t purchase uppercut because it’s just too expensive. So I left that out of the running for me. My hair – very course and unwieldy even on a good day. I see lots of reviews where people say “Oh I have very difficult to control hair” then you see them with this perfect pompadour. I’m the guy that can’t pull off a full pompadour even if I wanted to because my hair is just too uncontrollable. Instead I use pomade at the suggestion of my barber that said I’m using too much gel to keep my 2” long hair in check. “I should instead try pomade”. That led me here. On to the products… Layrite Strong Hold – Good consistency, held up throughout the day, washed out easily with water. All great. But the smell was a little off-putting. It’s not natural. It reminds me of The Hunt for Red October when Jonesy says: “Now that’s got to be manmade, captain”. The product held decently, but I personally just couldn’t get past the smell. Enter Sauvetico Firme. Smelled just right, a very light scent but the scent was of ‘freshness’. The second I took a dab out of the tub I could instantly tell the difference on control compared to the Layrite Strong Hold. The Sauvetico Firme felt much thicker and stronger and that’s before I even got it into my hair. Once I worked it in, wow, yes. This is what I’ve been needing! I didn’t even bother to blow dry it (to keep it in place) because I could tell it was strong enough to hold it on its own. Sauvetico now has a lifetime customer. Great product which holds and smells good. Oh, and it washed out without issue. Highly recommended.

My Favorite Hair Product
I have thick medium length hair and my biggest issue with other products have been their inability to properly hold my hair in place without the help of something like hairspray. I'm happy to say that Suavecito Pomade Firme holds everything as I want. I've not had the need to reapply throughout the day or really mess with it at all after the initial styling. If I do have to restyle, I've found the pomade to still be soft enough to restyle without the need of water as suggested. The pomade lasts all day and when it's time to wash it out, it seems like it runs off immediately upon contact with water from the shower. This is good for when you want it off but should act as a caution for rainy days. I've seen a few other reviews mention the smell of the pomade. Some people enjoy it and others hate it. I would consider myself in the middle. The smell is absolutely noticeable but I don't hate it. I haven't been able to associate it with anything in particular but I would say that it falls in the category of a strong, stereotypical man smell. Imagine Brut aftershave, Drakkar Noir and the like. I'm not saying that this pomade smells like those products but it has that strong in your face factor. This is going to be something that you'll have to experience for yourself and form your own opinion. I'm just glad that I don't need to use too much product to style my hair so it's not like I'm bathing my hair in cologne. Overall, this is the best hair product for styling that I've found. I'll be using Suavecito Pomade Firme for the near future and can happily recommend it.

Smells amazing. Works great.
Just started the hair styling the journey and decided to try a few different products; - Reuzel Extreme Hold - Cremo High Hold Low Shine - Smooth Viking Matte Finish and Medium Hold - Suavecito Pomade Firme (Strong) My hair is straight and typically short and spikey, but I grow it out to test other styles. 2 Tests (Scent, and Hold) Started with Reuzel and although it worked okay it left me wanting more. The hold is strong, but depending on the style it doesn't always last all day. After about 7 or 8 hrs it may need some tweaking. And because its EXTREME you need a splash of water to loosen it up. The scent is described as a subtle sugary rum. Good, but not one I'd seek out Hold: B+ Scent: B- Cremo Affordable which is always a plus: except when the product struggles to perform. Out of the four this one is the hardest to style, least likely to hold shape, and the smell isn't my first, second, or third choice (Maybe Hints of Smoky Vanilla and Tobacco/Bourbon) Can't say I've been a fan of the cremo scents I've tested. Hold: D- Scent: C Smooth Viking More expensive than the other options. This one is a bit different than the rest because its a cream not a pomade or paste which makes it light and super easy to style. In doing so it sacrfices a bit of hold but its still strong enough under static conditions. However if there's any type of wind, you'll be constantly fidgeting with it. The smell is the worst of the bunch: tobacco scented Elmer's Glue? Hold: C+ Scent: D Suavecito Quite literally saved the best for last. Holy smokes this smells amazing (can't even describe it, but its what pomade should smell like) and the hold works excellent. Lasts all day. No complaints so far. Hold: A Scent: A

great product and a great size for a good price
I was a bit hesitant when buying this as my second pomade. First one was too light and greasy. Once i received it and opened it up, you instantly notice the smell. i wasnt too wild about it at first, but it definitely grew on to me and now i love it. its really like a clean old spice kind of smell. Using the right amount took some getting used to as too little and the florida humidity/heat would just make the pomade ineffective and my pompadour would just fall. Using too much and if your hair is too damp, it will become crusty and harden. The shine is pretty good considering what they say about when you go with a stronger hold, less sheen. Its not greasy at all and it washes out with ease in the shower with just water and some shampoo. The hold is really good and ive woken up the next morning with my pomp still up. The only minus about it is the restyling ability. If it becomes crusty and hard in your hair, combing isnt very simple. I havent noticed any flaking. Overall i would say this a great product and would definitely recommend to try it out especially considering its a 4 oz for about $11.

I finally found a good pomade
I have been using all sorts of stuff. Back in the days I used to use L.A. Looks, then I found out about Rad Wax, then ChampKom Gel, and eventually came across D.J Hair Styling Pomade (Cream) - Matte Look -...

Changed My Life
This stuff changed my life. For most of my years I was a gel user. I tried everything to hold my hair in place, gel, foam, you name it. Everything would leave my hair in this sticky mess. Then I heard about pomade. I tried a brand from my local super market called Murray's Superior Hair Dressing Pomade It sounded cool and retro, so I gave it a try. It was awful and hard to get out of my hair, it felt like I had gum in it. Enter Suavecito. Smells great, very 'manly' with a slight spicy undertone. Holds great; I'm able to put this in my hair, jump on my bike, ride my %$^# off to the gym, work my &^#$ off sweating at the gym, ride back home, and when I get home, my hair is still PERFECT. Unbelievable. Then, the best part, Suavecito is water soluble so this stuff just rinses right the &@$# out, no problemo. If you have a hard part in your hair, you NEED this and you don't even know it. Suavecito will change your life. EDIT: Thinking about reducing this review by a star. I've found that when I have Suavecito in my hair, women stare at me more often. It's getting kind of ridiculous.

Pompadour, Hard Parts, or just Slicked Back, Suavecito does it all!!!!
Water soluble pomade.... I was first introduced to water soluble pomade by my barber, I was blown away by not only the excellent hold but also the ease of washing it out. If you enjoy layrite products, You'll love Suavecito. In comparison to layrite I feel the hold is comparable, but what won me over on Suavecito opposed to layrite was the smell. This stuff smells awesome and it holds my hair perfectly. I have very fine hair which never held well with gels or mouse or hairspray. The only thing that ever worked for me in the past was pomades however I hated the oily feeling of it. This is an excellent product that allows me to do things with my hair that I didn't think I'd ever be able to do, and you don't need a huge glob to do it. About a nickle to quarter sized amount is enough to keep my hair in place all day long. I love this product and will be a life long user!!!
