We did switch out the lava rocks for the glass stones. We prefer the look of the glass. We were also able to get a table to conceal the tank that matched the fire table pretty well. This has been a game changer for our deck. Kids want their friends over every night to hang out and make s’mores. For the adults it’s so nice not to smell like a fireplace at the end of the night. You will notice in my pics that there are some scratches on the top. It does scratch easily and those all came from the glass fire screen. The fire screen is great on a windy night but otherwise it’s pretty annoying and we tend to use it as little as possible.
