Worth the purchase!
I mainly draw portraits so I was very happy that Amazon offered this skin tone set. I use it to supplement my Faber Castell Polychromos Color Pencils set. There is a Polycolor peach pencil that I absolutely love which I don't have with my Polychromos set. I'm very happy with this purchase!😀

If you have the 72 polycolor set, you don’t need these (in my opinion).....
These pencils are really very nice. My only complaint, and it’s my own fault, is that I mistakenly thought these pencils would be a supplement to the 72 count I previously purchased. Unfortunately, there were only a few pencils that were not included in the 72 set. So, again, the pencils are great, I was just disappointed that I already had many in this set. I do find them a bit dry, scratchy when compared to Faber Castell or Prismacolors.

Great Skin tones
I am very happy with the colors in this portrait set. I own the set of poly pencils and wanted to add this because there were some colors the 72 set did not have that have worked out so well for skin tones. Great for skin tones. and I would recommend these pencils

High Pigment
These are creamy, blend very well, and have a great pigment saturation. The skin tones are very extensive and even come with a purple color to use as a toner.

Good quality for Professionals
I love Koh I Noor. That being said if you aren’t a professional artist or an advanced colorist, these probably aren’t what you’re looking for. That being said I think these are fantastic quality pencils.

Not a smooth & creamy lay down of color.
Pencils sharpen well, no breaking, keeps point fairly well and crumbles very little. However, pigment saturation could be better and pencils are to hard to be oil based.

A good selection.
Very happy with this. I bought it as an add-on for the set of 72 that I've had for a few years. There's some duplicates but considering the price I feel that this set was worth investing in for the lighter tones that are not in the big tin. The skin tones in this are really useful; there's cool toned pinks and warm toned peach shades plus a multitude of browns so it's ideal for colouring books such as the Hanna Karlzon ones which feature a lot of faces.

Good if you want just a portrait set
All but 5, (the pinks), are in the main 72 set. Good if you want just a portrait set.

Good but not amazing
The pencils are good, but not as creamy as prismacolors. The packaging is ok, but lacking some information about the product, lightfastness etc. Some pencils have the name of the color and some don't. It seems that the company changed some color numbers and names in different sets. The set doesn't include the black colour which is odd.

Some Crossover with the 72 Set
I bought the 72 set of pencils (in cardboard, rather than a tin) and liked them. But there was a distinct shortage of colours for pale skin tones. I bought this set and it definitely solved the problem. About half the pencils were repeats of the 72 set.

Koh-i-Noor portrait pencils
There is a good selection of colours to enable a good skin tone for all races. The pencils are firmer than prismacolor pencils but not as firm as polychromos pencils. These layer well and are a good choice for most colouring books etc. Glad I bought them.
