Answer to Question No. 1:  Yes, am SURE that Brush Research Flex-Hones CAN be used to hone chainsaw motor cylinder bores.....We use Flex-Hones for various operations in Our efforts to RE-build & restore 1930's & '40's "Vintage"-style, HIGH-Performance, Ford FlatHead-V8 engines, including:  Our automotive machinist "Hones" cylinders in cast iron ENG blocks w/ Flex Hones, after actual cylinder boring.  We hone lifter bores & valve bowls w/ Flex-Hones, and do final polishing of intake & exhaust runners, valve & exhaust ports, after doing initial "Porting" work with stones & burrs mounted on die-grinders & dremels--work which We do for Ourselves in Our own, private shop.  Have also used Flex-Hones to polish MISC bores, of various sizes, in antique Ford cast iron cylinder heads (e.g.:  Model A & B Distributor Housing ports), AND to polish venturi bores in cast iron bases of antique Ford Stromberg carburetors.....
