Ships flat but has hinged corners, so very easy to set up and insert into the unit. We got about a year out of it before the light signalled that replacemet was needed. No complaints. We notice a real difference in the amount of dust in the air, and the activated charcoal takes out most cooking odors, etc.

Simply remove the old filter and unfold the new one and slide it into place. Don't forget to hold the button for 10 seconds to reset the light to white. It works great so far.

I was originally going to get this filter off the official website but decided to try my luck on amazon. I noticed that some reviews say that the red light is still on despite installing the new filter but I took the chance and was pleasantly surprised. It was super easy to install and all the rims and edges fits perfectly into my Blueair 211. I think all you need to do is to reset it after you install by holding down the on button and it will work its magic. Hope this helps
