HOMCOM 72L Recycling Sensor Bin Stainless Steel Trash Can 3 Compartments

I’ve had the HOMCOM 72 L Recycling Sensor Bin in my kitchen for about a week now, and it’s exceeded expectations—especially considering it costs less than the Joseph Joseph equivalent. Despite a lower price point, it feels robust and reliable. The motion sensor lid opens swiftly when I approach, making daily use very convenient, and the button option is a helpful fallback when the sensor feels less responsive. What I really appreciate is the triple-compartment system. I’ve been able to sort recyclables separately from general waste without extra bins taking up space. The removable inner buckets are easy to lift out for emptying or cleaning, which has saved me time. I also like the fingerprint-resistant surface—it stays looking tidy even with frequent handling. In the first week, it hasn’t missed a beat: smooth lid movement, solid stability when loaded, and no plastic creaks or flimsy feeling. For what I paid, it’s been an outstanding performer. I’d say it punches above its weight and offers excellent value if you’re looking for a large, sensor-operated recycling bin.

Happy with the purchase, great quality, plenty of space, and sensored open and auto close functions are very useful

This bin is much wider than any others allowing more items to go in. The 2 recycling bins at the bottom pull out on casters. So good to have a bin for just about everything. My only negative comment (and my own fault) is that when I walk past, the bin opens as my clothing touches it as its position is in a narrow area.other than that it’s the best bin I have ever had. Instructions say to clean with wet wipes. Great design and quality and a good size which prevents me emptying the bin frequently.

Really like this bin though haven't put batteries in to operate the sensor as we don't think this would really be so helpful. This no doubt means we have paid too much but we've accepted that. The smaller compartments do fill up quite quickly, so you need to have somewhere to put the paper and plastic pre bin collection but that hasn't been a problem for us. It also looks very nice. Works very well

If I could put 0 star,I would and Amazon will not help you if the warranty is short by a few days.DO NOT BUY! The sensor breaks and Homcom will not help!

An excellent receptacle with enough storage for the new recycling rules. As much as the sensor opening/closing is very useful for not having to touch the lid, the slightest movement close to it annoyingly sets it off. My main complaint is that all the liners I ordered that were recommended for it didn’t fit and I had to return them.

Big bin in all 3 compartments
