First of all I don’t understand why you have to assemble the actual gate prior to installation, but if a waste of time when every other come preassembled.The bars rattle around and don’t fit snug which is annoying.The pressure for is completely mis leading. Unless you are screwing it into the wall which most stairs don’t accommodate for.Pressure fit does NOT mean you’ll have a nice gate that swings open and closed, it means you’ll have to lift off the gate every time you want to pass through and click it back into place manually to close it. Nobody needs or wants that. Completely ridiculous and a waste of time.Also the sticky tabs which we had to remove due to the faults of the gate, have ripped paint and plaster off the walls even after only being installed for about 3 minutes before we realised the gate was inadequate.I never leave reviews but this angered me immensely. If you want a swinging gate that doesn’t rattle, don’t bother with this one.

If only zero stars was an option! It’s incredibly flimsy, tricky to assemble and to use as a gate you can open you do have to screw into the wall. If you use the full pressure fit option you have to lift the whole gate up and out and either put it back or rest it elsewhere.We’ve fitted the gate to our stairs to stop the puppy going upstairs, but it’s so flimsy it rattles and drops every time you open it. The spindles don’t sit securely in their allocated grooves and the handle is far too stiff and wide to open easily. It’s an absolute nightmare and none of the family can use it.It was such a faff to assemble and put up we decided we couldn’t even be bothered to disassemble it to try and fit it all back into the box to return it.Don’t waste your money. Pay a little more and get a solid, usable gate!

I was looking for a cheaper gate to put a barrier up for my dogs -it was a bit of a pain to put together and the bars need to be put in, individually. Overall gate quality is still good, and like the look of the gate.you can have it as a swing gate (i did)Or have it as a gate that is removed and replaced each time (no idea why someone would want that!)you need to screw it into the wall or structure if you want it as a swing gate though - that's not very clear.

Great design, size etc, however came flat packed and I would have expected it to be ready to fit.

We followed the instructions even though it was a huge faff to put together. We got it up on the top of the stairs. Next minute our sons nearly went through it because one of the wooden spokes fell out!! They are almost too short of the stair gate. Luckily we were there to catch him else it would be a lawsuit if he fell!! Please avoid and do not use. Ours has gone straight in the bin!!

Used as pet gate

This was a pain to put together. Every time I’d got all the slats in place when I went to put the screws in they fell out. Very frustrating! Gave up trying to follow the instructions and went rogue. It’s ok once put together but quite flimsy. Only chose this one as I needed something slightly narrower. You have to screw the hinge to the wall if you want the gate to open. Wouldn’t buy again.

The media could not be loaded.  The gate attaches to the wall the top bit works perfectly but no matter how you adjust the bottom pad it doesn’t go into the pad. I have tried to contact customer service through their website but the number is invalid and although it says there is a help form you can fill in there’s not. For me this gate is not fit for purpose but unfortunately I’m stuck with it because it’s the only one I could find that would fit my door as I’ve a very narrow doorway.
