Depending on how often you use the lights, you may go through batteries decently quick. We leave our lights on for probably 8-12 hours every day. We also use rechargeable batteries with these lights as we are regular users of them. In the just over a month that we've had them, with regular use, we've switched out the batteries once. Not too much more to say, these work great for lighting and they look really nice. They would work great as under lighting for cabinets, but these aren't like fairy lights for decoration. It takes 3 AA batteries and I used the strip lights between December 15-31 constantly and I am still using the batteries to powere other devices. That work as they should. The adhesive is not very strong, and they are not very bright at all. If you still buy them, I would clean the area you wish to apply them to with alcohol.
