Kaytee Lava Ledge for Small Pet Wire Habitats

My chinchillas just love these!!!! Not only do they offer the health benefit of a safe chewing toy, they also add ledges to their cage. They attach very securely to the cage and don't move around. I have several in each cage because they enjoy them so much!

These are great for my pigeons. I’d say they are probably the largest bird that can get use out of them—any larger and I think the ledge would be too small for perching. I used to use these for pet rats & they also loved them. I do wish they weren’t dyed (the color does come off on your fingertips) but since the birds aren’t chewing on them, it’s no big deal. They are easy to put in the cage, though I did buy larger washers because of the wide bar spacing of my cage. Not sure how much the ledges are doing to file down my birds’ nails, but I’m glad they like them!

My squirrel loves it. Keeps his teeth trimmed down and also uses it as a climbing tool!

At first, I thought I’d get two pink ones, just like in the picture. But actually, I got one blue and one yellow. The product description didn’t mention that different colors would be shipped at random. It doesn’t really matter, though—they’re all dyed. This product is great for my chinchilla to chew on, and it can also be used as a jumping platform. It’s a great product. My chinchillas loves them.

One arrived intact. One broken in half. They went into the cages well. The broken half I put into a feed cup. Will see if the birds like them and if they work for trimming their beaks.

My rats demolished it but it kept them busy. Its a perfect size for rats and any other small animal.

Good little multi purpose ledges. Both my Chinchillas and Rats seem to enjoy them.

Easy to install, bigger than I thought but very cheap for what you get.

Wird bei uns so aufgehangen, dass die Ratten auf diesen Stein klettern müssen um an die Wasserflasche zu gelangen. Denke schon, dass die Krallen dadurch ein wenig abgeschliffen werden. Teilweise knabbern sie auch selten mal drann. Bequem genug, dass schonmal eine darauf schläft scheint es auch zu sein. Robust. Nur die Farbe sieht so seltsam chemisch aus.

Bigger than expected, and the rats seem to like using it as a perch, and sometimes as a gnawing/chew. It seems to keep their nails down a bit. GREAT VALUE @ $13. I saw them as much as $24 on other sites. I noticed someone complained about the quality, I have not found there were any concerns, seems to be the correct brand and quality Id expect.
