Good Grips No-Spill Ice Stick Tray with Silicone Lid for Water Bottles

I have searched a long time for the perfect ice cube tray. Sounds silly, but there was always some imperfection that caused me to retire them early - silicone that was likely not food grade and left an oil slick in my drinks. Plastic that was not BPA free. Trays that lacked lids or had lids but didn't seat sufficiently enough to avoid spillage. Or trays that just didn't offer the right cube size to fit my glass bottle. This OXO ice cube tray is AMAZING! It is BPA free, has a silicone lid that does not leave an oily film in my water and can be used as a mat for easy removal of my ice cubes. I don't mind broken cubes, so twist and upside down works for me. But the instructions suggest running water over first if you prefer your cubes in tact. The tray has a reservoir around the rim to collect excess water when I overfill or tilt the tray. Plus, the lid seats perfectly to protect the cubes during stacking which also prevents spillage. The bonus is that it happens to be the perfect size to fit right next to my 2.5 quart Tovolo ice cream tub, which I actually use to hold ice! I hand washed my trays and ran through dishwasher on top rack before first use since other silicone products I have previously purchased had an oily film. No oily film on the lids whatsoever and no funny tasting cubes (of course I use reverse osmosis water to begin with). I am thrilled with these trays and purchased them in the regular size as well. A+ for OXO on this amazing and well thought out design!

I've been using two of these trays for over a year and just ordered two more. They are really nice to use and I like that the ice cubes will fit into a bottle of water, soda, or whatever. The trays have a groove around the edge which catches extra water if you overfill. The plastic cover prevents spilling if you press it down after the tray is filled. You can stack them and you can also put other things on top because they have a cover. The only thing I have a problem with is that sometimes the ice cubes stick to the plastic cover and must be brushed off with your fingers. Also, I have found that after many uses they do pick up that freezer smell and need to washed with soapy water to remove the odor. No biggie though, as I really do like these and feel that they are superior to most of the other trays available. Highly recommended if you need ice cubes which will fit in bottles with small necks.

Hard to fill, have to use a small container with pour spout or water will fill the outside reservoir. Great little ice cubes - especially for bottles with narrow spouts. Easy to get the ice out once formed. Keep top silicone cover on, turn upside down while holding silicone cover on. Run warm or lukewarm water across bottom, turn back over. Ice will come out easily.

I was really hesitant at first in buying this ice tray for its overly expensive price. Currently, I've been using this ice tray for a couple month and this ice tray works great. Pros: - Water doesn't spill out of the ice tray no matter how you store it. - Ice Sticks fit in narrow bottle opening such as the MIRA cola bottle I'm currently using Cons: -Ice sticks kept in the fridge for too long will be really hard to remove since just pushing the bottom of the tray wouldn't always be enough to pop the ice out. If you don't have long nails to pluck the ice out, it will be very difficult to remove ice. - An expensive tray for the amount of ice it can hold. I use a 25-ounce water bottle and it takes roughly around 8 ice sticks to really make room temperature water cold. Overall this ice tray is a great long-term investment for its high-quality plastic build and its no spill feature. The ice tray is probably the highest quality ice tray available at Amazon currently. However, comparing this to other ice trays, this ice tray is quite small for its price and you might need multiple trays if you're a frequent ice stick user. Aside from the minor challenges I encounter, this Ice tray is great and I highly recommend it.

I needed a tube type ice cube for my narrow mouthed water bottle. Enter OXO. We have 4 regular covered trays and love them. They release the ice very easily and so we tried OXO's tube trays. Perfect. Easy to release and clean with ice tubes coming whole. It even has a lid that really works! We go to OXO for the quality in all their products - you can always count on the OXO brand.

I use this ice tray with my S'well water bottle. The long thin ice cubes it creates are ideal to fit in the mouth of the S'well 500ml bottle. I've recently ordered a third S'well bottle so this tray is seeing a lot of use this summer. The lid reduces the possibility of spilling water after filling up. Like all Oxo items I own it's well made.

Great ice stick tray to use with water bottles with a thin neck. I use them with my insulated water bottles (stainless steel), putting 4-5 sticks in at a time. The ice lasts for hours and hours. It's wonderful to have freezing cold water all day long. The tray is incredibly easy to use. Just fill it up, put the silicone flap down and smooth your hand over the top to push out the excess water while also creating a slight seal. Is it leak-proof? Of course not. But it's not marketed as leak-proof either. I can easily lay the tray at an angle and due to the silicone flap, it does not leak at all. Getting the ice sticks out is also super easy in this ice tray. You can usually just push down on one end and it will pop out. However if you find it's not popping out, just get the tray a slight twist. I am talking very very slight. You don't want to twist too hard. I found out the hard way that twisting the tray too much will result in broken sticks when they come out. You only need to ever so slightly twist it until you hear the crack and then they pop out whole without any issues whatsoever. I definitely recommend this tray! If it was cheaper I'd be buying multiples, but for now I am content with just a single tray.

Eisstäbchen sind optimal, um Getränke direkt in der Flasche abzukühlen, ohne dass man erst mühsam Eisbrösel herstellen oder die Flüssigkeit umständlich umfüllen muss. Bisher habe ich für die Produktion Toppits-Beutel für Eisstäbchen verwendet, fand diese aber aber nicht optimal. Geplansche beim Befüllen, fummelige Entnahme, bei der viele Stäbchen zerbrochen sind - und natürlich unnötiger Plastikmüll, da die Tüten nicht wiederverwendbar sind. Somit war ich auf der Suche nach einer Alternative. Für Eiswürfel in Stäbchenform gibt es leider nicht viel Auswahl an Formen, die meisten sind dann auch noch ohne Deckel, so dass ich mich schnell für das Oxo-Produkt entschieden habe. Als die Form ankam, war ich erstmal etwas erschrocken über die Länge von 35 cm - ich hatte die Maße vorab nicht kontrolliert und mit einem kleineren Teil gerechnet. Aber sowohl die Schubladen vom Gefrierschrank als auch das Gefrierfach vom Kühlschrank (beides Geräte mit 60 cm Breite) sind dafür breit genug, von daher also kein Problem. Insgesamt könnte man die Form jedoch etwas kompakter gestalten. Der Silikondeckel dichtet gut ab, die Eisstäbchen nehmen keine Gerüche an. Bei den Toppits-Beuteln kam es hin und wieder vor, dass das Eis nach längerer Lagerzeit einen Hauch von Schnittlauch (oder was sonst so im Gefrierfach lag) angenommen hat - das konnte ich bisher bei den Oxo-Stäbchen nicht feststellen. Die Entnahme funktioniert sehr gut, sofern man darauf achtet, die Mulden nur bis knapp unter den Rand zu befüllen bzw. überschüssiges Wasser vor dem Einfrieren abzugießen. Wie bei klassischen Eiswürfelformen reicht es aus, wenn man die Enden der Form leicht gegeneinander verdreht. Dann sind die Eisstäbchen bereits gelockert und können sehr leicht entnommen werden (mit Druck auf ein Stäbchenende auch einzeln). Bei der aktuellen Hitzewelle gebe ich morgens immer 2-3 Stäbchen in meine Wasserflasche und genieße es, auch am späten Vormittag noch ein einigermaßen kühles Getränk in der Tasche zu haben. Da mich das System überzeugt hat, werde ich wohl auch noch die Form für klassische Eiswürfel bestellen. Bei der Stäbchenform handelt es sich um dieses Produkt: "OXO Good Grips Eiswürfelform, Silikon, Grün" bzw. "Eiswürfelform mit Silikondeckel" im Auswahlmenü. Da die Bezeichnung Eisstäbchen in beiden Beschreibungen nicht auftaucht, wollte ich dies sicherheitshalber noch erwähnen

Ottima idea questa vaschetta. In pratica ha una base con una specie di "fossato" attorno allo stampo, per svuotare l'acqua in eccesso. Utilizza una copertura che è una sorta di "foglio di silicone" che copre il ghiaccio per evitare che resti a contatto con le altre cose nel freezer. I ghiaccioli a forma di sigaro si estraggono facilmente per via della forma che hanno dato allo stampo: premendo da un lato del sigaro, si solleva dall'altro lato. Consigliatissimo.
