Nicer Than "Standard" Swiss Army Models
The "Evolution" line of Swiss Army Knives are a carry over from the Wenger days. The model was converted into the Swiss Army line after it was purchased in the 2000's and persists today under this label. The differences are subtle but substantial. The scales are sleeker and have more of a grip. They also appear slightly higher quality then my other standard Swiss Army knives. All the "S" models in the "Evolution" line also have locking blades which is a nice edition. (Why Swiss Army did not start putting this option on all their newer models is beyond me.)I purchased this exactly model because it popped up as being on a good sale. It had a lot of features I was looking for in a slim profile EDC multi-tool knife. I actually prefer it over other Swiss Army knives I have with plastic scales. May get a few more to replace those in my day to day carry. Overall, I prefer the alox scales, but would definitely recommend you think about getting a knife from this line if there is not an alox version with all the tools you desire.

Quality product as are all Victorinox knives. This one ...
Quality product as are all Victorinox knives. This one was for a relatively new Scout an locking blade safety function was the selling point. It works well and will reduce the chances of an accident as skills are developed.

Swiss Army Knife All Grown Up!
Wow! I just received the Victorinox Evolution S101 and I absolutely love it! The ergonomics are excellent compared to the original model with no hand curvature to speak of. The new model hugs your hand and you feel confident with every cut, poke or slash. The locking large blade is icing on the cake but I wish the other blades and tools would lock too. Other than that, I have zero complaints. The perfect little pocket knife with cork screw for those weekend getaways. I cannot recommend enough. If you are on the lookout for a nice little edc knife, look no further!

My favorite knife in my collection.
I absolutely love this little swiss army knife, the scales are very aesthetically pleasing and more scratch resistant than the standard ones, and the lock on the blade has no play whatsoever. The little clip point blade is perfect for smaller/delicate tasks such as some light whittling or opening a letter. Also the corkscrew perfectly accommodates the mini screwdriver, overall I'm very pleased, and it is now my every day carry knife.

One Star
The lever that sticks out of the bottom of the tool is unacceptable.

Very handy
Bought this for a Christmas present after I saw my boyfriend trying to cut open a bag with a key. He loves it, says he uses it all the time now.

Cool knife, tough to open the scissors though.
Cool knife, good quality, but I have no idea why they designed it so that the locking mechanism is in front of the scissor, nail latch, making it nearly impossible to open up the scissors. Mind boggling. Other than that, awesome knife and great customer service, thus far.

Victorinox made one improvement on the Wenger Evo
I was at first skeptical of the change in the shape of the can opener, until I realized the utility of the half-Phillips head at its tip, which has made this my primary choice over my older Wenger. The locking mechanism remains my favorite feature of this over any other Swiss Army knife.
