Are these replacements for the foam, or do they also replace the plastic that originally came with the headset?

This kit replaces the entire system. You will remove the original foam AND attachment brackets to replace with the components in this one. The PU Leather covered foam pads attach to the new brackets that are included with the kit.

Does this work for the oculus quest 2?

No. The Rift S has a completely different facial interface configuration more similar to PSVR. The Quest 2 is more like the original Rift’s interface style so this would not work. Look for VR Covers version coming soon for a good interface for Quest 2. Keep checking their website because they will sell out fast after release. If you have a Rift S though, this is a great facial interface and makes the Rift S the most comfortable headset I’ve owned.

Is this actually the replacement face, and head headband pieces or are these just covers for the foam?

This is a pretty good product. It comes with all the replacement areas with a PU Leather type material instead of the porous version the rift comes with. This was a really good purchase and I fully recommend it. The only thing that can get a little annoying is some of the nose flap areas kind of pop up occasionally and you have to put the pins back in but other than that little annoyance I fully recommend it.

Does this come with the plastic bracket the facial interface plastic bracket? im missing that piece an need to replace it.

It comes with everything shown in the pictures. I'm not sure about which plastic bracket you're referring to but this is a complete pad set and was easy to install.
