Edgar Cayce on Reincarnation and Family Karma

Great insights from Edgar Casey
This is an excellent review of Edgar Casey's readings of previous incarnations of people, their karmic memories imprinted on their souls, and the impacts of it all on their present lives. Kevin Todeshi is an excellent writer, and presents the material with a great deal of insight.

Worthwhile!
Well researched including contemporary as well as original Cayce examples. I think that this book can be very helpful for anyone who is accepting of the ideas of karma and reincarnation to understand and heal particular family relationship troubles. It provides general guidelines and practical exercises to convert the knowledge into effective action to overcome uncomfortable situations by application of universal principles. The only reason I subtracted one star is that the plethora of examples can get to feel like a slog at times, but the final chapters wrap things up nicely.

A Good Read
This is a well researched, well organized book. I enjoyed reading about Edgar Casey's view on karma. His view that karma is memory and that free will supersedes it was interesting. Also, the idea that you must face yourself when confronting difficult relationships, because these are lessons generated by you, your soul, flies in the face of much religious upbringing. A lot of interesting examples presented. If you're interested in karma and relationships, this is a good read.

i get it
i had a foundation in pieces formed from different bits of understanding that were disconnected, and between these pieces were chasms that seemed to have no bottom, such that they could not be traversed or reconciled with each other.now, i think, i can see the whole that connects the pieces. things are put in context, and it makes sense. the Cayce readings were one of the chunks of my foundation, one of my frames of reference, but Mr. Todeschi acting as guide let the Cayce readings spread across and connect all the chunks and bring them together.now it remains to be seen whether i will be able to use this newfound understanding and cohesiveness to make genuine progress, but regardless, Mr. Todeschi has been a true guide and in no way perverted Cayce's Readings with his own ego. i found that to be amazing. even when people alight on new understanding in the most sincere of ways, staying on a clear path is nearly impossible. i am amazed and thankful for the author's clear head and pure purpose.

I found it very informative. It may bore a reader who did not want as much individual readings in a book.
I found this book very helpful in answering some questions that I was uncertain about. When I read what Edgar Cayce's readings said about reincarnation it tied up some loose ends for me and and made a lot of sense. I have been reading Cayce's books since the middle 70s and I'm very familiar with the language used. Cayce read the King James translation of the bible daily, which is the english Edgar Cayce uses during readings. This book might bore a person due to the many readings of family members and it might be a bit much for someone who did not want that much information on the subject.

Digestible Cayce!
I love Edgar Cayce, but the earlier books of his work were often compilations of his literal written in old English channelings, which he recited from his sleeping prophet state, and recorded by his wife. These of course were very hard to read and understand, but this book is in a more current language.

Todeschi's Work
While looking for something inspirational to read, I came across this new publication of Edgar Cayce on Reincarnation and Family Karma by Kevin Todeschi. I am always drawn to the Edgar Cayce materials but was a little disappointed when I saw that it was about reincarnation and karma. I felt that these subjects were so 80's and that I really had moved beyond them. For me, reincarnation is now simultaneous incarnations that cross-connect with parallel lives. And karma is nothing more than a self-imposed life theme that will be balanced accordingly. As I have read most if not all of Todeschi's works, I was interested to see how he handled this. I was well-rewarded! Todeschi brought to light how I meshed together the 80's thought to the present day realization. It gave me lots of food for my inspirational needs by going back to revisit some old ideas seen in a new light. I think it is not only a wonderful read for those just getting into the reincarnation idea and for those of us who thought we had moved beyond reincarnation. Once again I was pleased with how Todeschi brought new insights to an age old topic.
