MCVITIES MILK CHOCOLATE HOB NOBS

The year was 1992 and I was a young lad doing the backpacking thing through Europe. First stop was London, where my brother was living at the time. As my friend and I were provisioning up to continue our journey across the pond, my brother put a package of McVitie's Hobnobs in my pack. I asked, "what are those?" The reply came swift and sure: "the best packaged cookies you will ever have." 32 years later that still holds true. Hobnobs are just the perfect blend of somewhat thick, oaty goodness in a cookie slathered with a covering of creamy milk chocolate. Or darker chocolate if you prefer, although I am partial to the milk. The cookie itself has a little bit of give to it and yet also a satisfying crunch. I don't know what it is about this combination, but I could truly eat an entire package of them at once--they are that good. Better yet for the hungry traveler, they are somewhat substantial. So while you could down them all, you probably won't. There really is no comparison in the U.S. that I have found to these cookies and quite honestly, I don't want to find one. Hobnobs are perfect just the way they are. Buy them. Now. You won't regret it.

Very good, tastes really good, the only issue is the condition, but being shipped for quite a distance, I expected some to be broken. That was fine.

I ordered twice because while they taste good, the first package was damaged. The second order was worse than the first. Save your money. Until they design a package that can protect the product in transit, you'll end up with a bag of melted crumbs.

The product is great, nice flavor, a bit pricey, but worth it. However, the plastic wrapper doesn’t protect against breakage as well as it should

Hobnob’s are a fantastic oat cookie from England! I can highly recommend 👍 May I suggest you purchase the plain ( not dipped in chocolate). !! The chocolate dipped ones don’t travel well in the mail and warmer temperatures! Mine were all stuck together?!? Had to refrigerate and then cut apart with a knife !?!😂 And frankly the plain are better tasting anyway! The oat deliciousness comes across stronger without the chocolate covering up the flavours !

I bought these cookies as a present for a friend. I was introduced to them via another friend from England. They are terrific and I wanted to share them. The cookies make it mostly. Only problem was they were sent in a bubble wrap container and not a box - left them broken, but hey they still taste the same. Would purchase them from this source again.

The chocolate had melted between the oat cookies so they would not break apart. The cookies were solidly melted into multiple deckered cookies. They could not be broken apart so they were more like huge macaroons. They still tasted good but I wanted just the thin chocolate topped cookies.

Always have one each day with my morning cup of tea. The price is a bit steep so I try to restrict it to this rather than just taking one whenever I feel like it. In the MidWest I can’t order them during the Summer because the English milk chocolate melts as soon as the temp rises above 15C and a day in the Amazon can turns them into a hobnob chocolate log ( but that’s why they make versions with no chocolate) Bad for me, obviously, but taste great
