Beretta PX4 Recon

This one is complicated. First of all, I can't say much enough how I am grateful to Amazon. Amazon's after sales service is not one of the best, it is The Best, is the most best online retailer around the whole Internet. Ok, then the product, it's good and not good. So first, the pros. This version, for the pistol itself, is many difference from the normal version, the looking is different, it's tow tone colored, black slide and tanned frame, I like the military feel of this pistol, it's more like the real Beretta px4 .45 recon version. The material used on this version, is different from the normal version, the outer barrel is metal, the normal version is plastic. The green dot sight is useless, helps aiming if it could hold zero, but it can't, so I bought BSA red dot from Amazon. With the BSA red dot, this gun shoot extremely accurate. I can easily put 5 of 8 shots in a group of a inch and half in 15 yards (using Crossman premier .177). The flash light is good, bright and tough. The cons. Since it's blowback design, so it's very co2 consuming, relatively about 50 shots per co2 cartridge. Secondly the recoil spring is too weak, barely hold the slide in position, and the first cope I got, the spring was twisted, lost tension, couldn't hold the slide forward in position within a month, I sent it back to Amazon, and got a replacement. And then the second one was even worse, within a week, the valve started leaking, and made the pistol unstoppable automatically shooting, it was unexpected and dangerous. It didn't rotated the magazine, but the co2 wasted. And I sent it back to Amazon again and got the third copy. Since I am very busy at my work now, so didn't try it out yet. Again, without Amazon's perfect service I can't imagine how much I'm gonna suffer the poor quality control of this thing. Maybe just bad luck, this air pistol got really good reviews around Internet. Anyway, five stars for Amazon service and three for this pistol.

The gun works good but the laser dot sight was broken I had to take it apart and fix it.

This gun is slick looking. It has all the features you could possibly want on a recon style pistol. Problem is that the red dot is hard to sight in and other than the look the quad rail is useless. I took the quad rail off after having trouble getting the red dot sighted. This made it much more simple to aim. The suppressor is a cool look and doesnt take away from the accuracy of the gun either. After I took the quad rail off, I put the flash light back on and it still looks pretty cool. The gun itself is the same as the PX4 Storm, with recoil action and a 16 round clip. The blowback feature on the gun is pretty good. A full CO2 packs pretty good kick. The gun is well made and has a similar weight to the real thing. Overall this is a good gun, but the recon version is unneccessary other than the flash light. It is a Walther tactical and puts out good light and the switch is easy to mount and feels comfortable on the pistol grip. Personally I wish I just bought the standard PX4 storm and an additional flash light if I wanted it. All the accessories look cool on this gun but are very impractical.

i love this gun. its heavy, has a nice kick to it, and is accurate. my only 2 complaints are that it has a low fps and cant penetrate anything but relatively soft targets, and the co2 installation is a bit of a hassle.

Very nice looking Co2 pistol, Co2 cylinders seem to runout fast but I have nothing to compare it to, Strong first 20 then slopes off quickly. Full auto works great red dot is accurate flashlight is bright.

returning this asap it came in a clam shell plastic can not except this aint no telling whats wrong with it not even gonna open it 160 bucks for this hellll no unexceptable

I thought it looked cool and slick but when first using it the top slide was grinding when going back and forth. Another thing the top rail isn't really matched to the top dot scope that well and moves around and wont seat properly unless fiddling with it forever. Then if you have to take it off and put it back on again you have to tune it over again which is time consuming. The extension looks like it does something but it's only for show and doesn't really muffle the sound. Will have to look at other models and closer reviews for something made better that will last.

the sight is completly worthless. have fun getting it to line up right with your shots. and that also makes the rails useless as well. fun to shoot.
