The Complete Guide to Stonescaping: Dry-Stacking, Mortaring, Paving & Gardenscaping Paperback – September 3, 2013

We have a steeply sloped lot, and have added additional soil around the house, intending to install terraced gardens. We had a retaining wall of very large boulders installed on one side, protecting the slope that housed the septic tank. We are now looking at the larger slope, with an eye toward doing some of the terracing ourselves, and this book supplies everything we need to know for free-standing walls, patios, and lawn feature areas. It explains everything from foundations, soil prep, and how to build in longevity, in clear language with plenty of photos. I can't wait for warm weather, to get started!

It seems to be a great book on the subject and my daughter and her partner are very pleased with the information it provides, after all they are the one's doing all the hard graft.
