A great study by Martinez of how a blood quantum came to be used and shaped in a new contextual space in the new world and the types of industry this transference created.

Purchased this book brand new for a little of $23 for a grad school class. Normally, when I buy a new book I expect it to have sturdy binding as it has never been used before. This NEW BOOK did not that. By page 11 a page was not glued in at all and by page 23 there is a three page section that was not glued into the binding completely either. Very frustrating as stated before this is a NEW BOOK.

Very thorough research and brilliant argument bridging two topics that have been studied separately but are essential to understanding one another.

This is a book that came from the heart of a person who loves her heritage, culture and love of her country she loves. Hard work went into making this book and a passion to finish it with great details.
