Snuza Go literally saved my baby's life!
Snuza Go literally saved my baby's life! My daughter was born a bit premature at almost 4 weeks early, and I ordered the Snuza Go while still in the hospital because I wanted it on hand for the first night she was home. Two days after we came home, we were sitting at the kitchen table (discussing the Snuza ironically), and my daughter was sleeping in her portible basinnette about 10 feet away. All of a sudden the Snuza alarm started going off. We ran to the baby and found her not breathing. We picked her up and started jossling her around and calling her name, with still no response from her. Thinking there could be mucus or something stuck in her mouth and blocking her airway, I attempted to suction her, and ultimately ended up sticking my finger into her mouth to feel for something that could be blocking her airway. I found nothing, but she also did not react in any way to my finger being put way back in her mouth (and if she were ok her pediatrician agreed she would have gagged or cried or reacted in some way).At this point my husband called 911, and the dispatcher walked us through CPR. After performing CPR she finally gasped and then started to cry.I can't bare to think about what would have happened if we had not had the Snuza to alert us that there was a problem. It no doubt saved her life and is the only reason she is still with us. That was almost 3 weeks ago, and since that incident, she has only been without the Snuza Go during diaper changes and baths. We also now leave the click feature turned on at all times so that we have the auditory indication of her breaths. If you are at all on the fence about a Snuza, buy it! I promise you will not regret it! Unlike the under the mattress kind, the Snuza will work no matter where the baby happens to be sleeping. We also have an under the mattress alarm for her crib next to our bed (which we purchased after this incident to have a backup), but use the Snuza in addition to that one so that we have coverage no matter where she is. (At night we actually use both simultaneously so that we have backup -- after that horrifying incident we take no chances!). Though we have both kinds of monitors now, if I could only have one, it would be the Snuza because of its ability to be used anywhere. (Even though the manufacturer indicates that it shouldn't be used while in motion, i.e. in cars, strollers, etc, I still use it in these situations because, though I don't count on it while we're moving, I do find it reassuring to hear the clicks when we stop at red lights, etc.)The Snuza's alarm is loud enough to hear if in the same room. If the baby isn't in the same room with you though, you will want to use a sound monitor to reliably hear the alarm, especially during the night when you are sleeping. On the topic of false alarms, we had a few early on when we initially had her in newborn diapers which were a little too big and also had to place the device to the side of her abdimin in order to avoid her cord, but now that we've been able to place it in the center of her abdimin (and have switched to premie diapers which fit her better) , we've had virtually no false alarms. And she likes to roll onto her side to sleep, which could also contribute to false alarms if not placed securely (but this usually isn't an issue either since we get her diaper snug).

Saved my Son
Me being the paranoid mother that I am, bought this for my son at 2 months old thinking if nothing else, it would bring me peace of mind. Each time he breaths there's a little light that flashes green, it flashes yellow for shallow breaths and flashes red when he misses a breath. It has worked perfectly since we bought it two weeks ago, lights up with each breath, doesn't miss any breaths and the alarm has never sounded except for in test runs where we unclipped it from his diaper and laid it still on the table to see if it would actually sound after 15 consecutive seconds with no movement, which of course it always did. It's so accurate that it even picks up subtle movements when I have it sitting next to him on the mattress in the crib when I do a diaper change. Well, this morning my son was sleeping and and the alarm went off. I immediately picked him up and started moving him around and tapping his back until I felt him stir and then his father took him and I saw that he was moving, but was really out of it, like he had just been woken from a really deep sleep. The alarm can malfunction if it's not clipped securely to his diaper so I was hoping for a false alarm but when we unzipped his sleeper it was secured snugly in place, right again his skin, right where it was supposed to be. I think he just got too comfortable and forgot to breath, which is one big theory behind the cause of SIDS. I'm still in shock from it all. I'm so grateful we had the Snuza. It's really scary to think about what might have happened had we not had this monitor and I just keep replaying the horror over and over in my mind. There is the more expensive Snuza that sends a vibration to the baby at 15 seconds to remind him to breath and if it doesn't work, the alarm sounds at 20 seconds. I personally couldn't give a hoot about a vibration, I'd rather know the second the monitor registers an abnormality in my child's breathing and rouse the baby myself which is why I purchased this one instead of the other. I'd recommend this to any parent. I was sleeping in the same room as my baby, literally a foot away and wouldn't have ever known something was wrong if it hadn't been for this monitor.February 25th update: I have since had the beeper go off at least 5 different times with my son. Each time he has been in an alarmingly deep state of sleep. Many times when we grab him and pat him to get him to breath, he doesn't even wake up--or act like he was even stirred at all. I can't say for certain if, without the beeper, he would begin breathing after 15 seconds on his own or not (the most widely circulated normal pause in infant breathing is 10 seconds, 15 being the very top number I've read that is considered "normal") but I certainly wouldn't ever want to find out.

Saved a life... mine!
Easily one of the best purchases I've made. With my first 2 kids I slept so lightly, waking up all night long to check and make sure my baby was breathing. There were times their breathing was hard to see or feel, so I ended up shaking them awake to make sure they hadn't stopped... paranoid mess, I know. My 3rd and 4th babies were preemies and I'd read preemies were at increased risk of SIDS. I couldn't afford the owlett, this was pushing it for my budget, but my emotional and physical health were at their breaking points. The Snuza was a lifesaver. Push the "on" button and it lets you know if there is sufficient battery power for the night (I bought it 2 years ago for my first preemie and have been using it for the last month or so with my second and it's still on the original battery it came with). Slide it onto their diaper (pull it away from their skin as you slide it on so you don't pinch their skin). I watch it light up for a little bit to make sure it's lighting green with each breath. Sometimes you need to adjust it a bit to make sure it's in the right spot, especially for preemies, as they get bigger it registers breaths easier. I've also used it when my babies have gas badly enough to merit letting them doze on their tummies to be in a better position to get rid of gas and have less discomfort. If your baby is on their stomach, put the snuza on the back of the diaper, nearly on the babies side. I've had a few false alarms when my baby moved a certain way and the snuza was no longer registering breaths, but as long as the diaper is snug, false alarms will be few and far between (maybe once every couple weeks, a little more often for preemies under 6lbs). I sleep SO much better, so much deeper, and my post partum depression has been infinitely better with good sleep. It's been well worth every penny!

Saved my sanity!
One of my infant twins stopped breathing during the night (by some miracle I caught it and administered cpr and he’s here with us today) and I thought I’d never sleep again. We decided that we wanted something simple- no apps to glitch or not alert us, no monitor to not work if the power were to go out…enter snooza. It’s such a simple design and it works! Now…thankfully to my knowledge my babies did not stop breathing again, but they went off here and there…if it wasn’t in exactly the right place or if it fell off the diaper (both user error), proving to me that if proper movement were to cease that these alarms would have gone off and done their job. There were maybe a couple times there were false alarms without explanation BUT I’d rather be woken up a couple times for no reason then sleep through an event like what my son went through.

Best product for peace of mind
This is the best monitor. The audible click is great. Whenever you wake up in a panic you don't even have to move to know that baby is breathing. The first 5 months never had any false alarms. Now that he is a tummy sleeper we have gotten a few, not sure if it was a coincidence that he was sick so it did freak us out for awhile but glad that we had it. Would rather false alarms then none at all.Overall this has reduced my anxiety greatly.TIP: I never used it on his diaper. I would always have him wearing pants to bed and would place it on them as it is more secure then on a diaper. Never had a false alarm until he became a tummy sleeper.100% recommend.

Definitely worth the money
Love this product ! I had the owlet with my first baby / super fickle. Went to use it with this baby and the oxygen sensor was faulty . My baby was only a few days old . My anxiety sky rocketed . I ordered the snuza - it came fast. My son is now six months old and uses it still. Amazing for piece of mind . 10/10 recommend !!!

Must-have

life saver! it’s a must to have one!
I can sleep with a peace of mind thanks to this. It’s been a couple of times that the alarm when on since my baby stopped breathing for more than 15 seconds. I love it and I 100% recommend it.
