Very practical. Simple and low cost.
It seems to be well made and I keep it on my boat. It offers good utility and added safety. Just check the battery condition from time to time. The strobe will not have any safety benefit if the batteries are weak or dead.

I've had one of these for more than ten years and it's always worked, never leaked, and is always bright. I just bought another for my buddy.

Good solid light
Been using this strobe/flashlight combo for decades (sport diving/coastal sailboat racing). When the original finally crapoed out after close to 20 years, I got these new ones. Design is great.Strobe is nice and bright, as is the flashlight. It appears water resistant at least to 60'. The old one was fine to depths approaching 110', so I have confidence in this new model.If I had a concern, it would be the magnetic switch to turn the unit on is pretty light, so I've accidentally turned it on once or twice.One option which would be ideal is a red lens cover for flashlight to reduce night blindness.Great product for the money

Strobe light
I drive a log truck and I use this to attach to the end of the log at night so other can be aware of the danger of how long the logs stick away from the trailer 😳 times I used it it worked great

Battery installation impossible
Very disappointed with this product. I opened the package & followed instructions to install batteries. Directions said to unscrew the strobe cover, then remove the strobe part & pull out the battery case. I could not remove the strobe part no matter how I tried. So I unscrewed the tiny screws on the strobe part & still could not get to the battery case. Changing batteries should only take 60 seconds but I fussed with this for 30 minutes. Very annoying

Good.
I bought tis to replace an old strobe that has given up. It is more bulky than the old one so would not mount on my BC the same way. I have yet to test it in open water but I think it will be fine. It appears to be identical to the Beaver / Northern Diver models but a fraction of the price.
