Distinctive Roller Sewing Machine Presser Foot

This roller foot is super nice when I'm sewing with lightweight shirting or challis. I haven't tried it with heavier fabrics yet, but it keeps the fabric moving at the same pace as the bottom. I also dig my slippery foot but this one handles the fabric differently and seems to work better on the lightweight fabrics that can easily get damaged by a sewing machine.

I initially bought this to sew on leather - and it does do well for that. But I've found that this is my go-to foot anytime I need a little grip to get through whatever I'm sewing. It's not just for leather, by all means. And it's durable - it works just as it's supposed to every time. I'd say I'm on the advanced end of beginner sewing. I'm sure there's a lot more this thing does that I haven't tapped into yet but when I've needed it, I've been very glad to have it. I've got several Distinctive brand feet and never had a problem - I won't hesitate to purchase this brand.

this thing is the TRUTH! it really helps glide over faux leather and vinyl projects! BUT The only reason i didn't give it full 5 stars is because after using a few times the little brackets that holds the tiny metal rod that attaches to the presser foot shank broke on one side and is slightly cracks on the other side so that the rod keeps slipping out slightly. It's still in a somewhat usable condition but the material needs to be more sturdy for ppl to get some mileage out of it man... better than that!

I'm editing it this to reflect the fact that after using for awhile the plastic that holds the metal bar used to attach the foot to the machine broke. I replaced it with a teflon foot to sew leather and am much happier with that product. This foot may work for thin materials, but I don't recommend it for thicker leather. Earlier review: Works perfectly! I bought a cheaper version of this foot, and the small wheels in back did not move freely. This one does what is supposed to do.

This is a great foot. Makes lots of kinds of fabric more secure. Didn't know what to expect but I am glad I got this. Would recommend this foot. I use it on my Brother CS6000i.

Helps sew velvet easier than with a regular presser foot. I read reviews that this helps with the pile of velvet when sewing seams together. It doesn't eliminate all puckering, but it does make the seam look better than with a regular presser foot.
