Just got this so can't comment on durability, but feels solidly built and nice compact size. I loaded my music ripped from my CD's onto a micro SD card in my computer then inserted the card into the MP3 player. Surprisingly good sound from the small speaker, and works fine with earbuds. User manual tells you how to select things but doesn't really explain what that choice does and not always obvious. The FM radio works fine (with wired earbuds, as noted in the posted information). I have one major problem with it and one question. The major problem is the music, which includes classical, folk, rock, soundtracks, etc. is completely shuffled - a movement from one symphony here , then a completely different piece next, instead of the next movement. I cannot figure out how to get everything to play the way it was downloaded onto the card. And, yes, I have "Shuffle" turned off on the MP3 player. the other question I have is the manual says if using a wall charger to charge it, do not use more than a 5v - 1 amp output charger. It seems that a higher output, eg 2.1 amp, charger should be ok, but don't know if it would cause damage. If anyone has the answer to either of these it would be appreciated.

I bought this player for my son for Christmas and he absolutely loves it! It's compact, gets great radio signal when he's aux wired with his headphones, and it's very easy to load music onto. I'm extremely pleased with my purchase and have already told most of my family and friends about this great little device.It's a great buy for smaller children that need a way to listen to music without having to worry about internet connectivity or access to the internet. That was an important part of why I bought this for my son, he's 10 years old and frankly, having a fully internet connected device in his hands just gives me too much fear.This player is a safe alternative that has given him the ability to have his music with him wherever he goes.Thank you to the makers of this device, for producing an affordable, workable product that simply works as it should. No muss, no fuss. It's a great buy.One little thing, perhaps maybe we could get a longer aux cord with this device? It's not really long enough to give even a child the length they need from the device in their pocket to the headphones on their head. We've had to use an aux cord from something else, as the length just isn't workable for my son's purposes. Otherwise, great buy.

Enjoying audiobook less than 30 minutes after unwrapping this MP3 player ... and I'm not a techie. I like being able to listen with or without earbuds. The sound quality is better than the many Sansa Sandisk's I've purchased. Haven't had it for a full day yet, but liking it for listening to audiobook. It doesn't have a clip like previous MP3 players, but is nice and sleek and fits in pocket. Now the BUTs: 1) when downloading audiobooks, the parts aren't always in order (same issue with MP3 player); 2) takes a bit of time to figure out how to perform some of the functions (e.g.how to reset timer while in the middle of an audiobook, etc), but not hard once you do it; 3) deleting parts of book (especially when book parts not downloaded in uninterrupted order) is a bit laborious; 4) BIGGEST ISSUE: When buying from Amazon, you're offered rebate if and only if you post a review. AND ONLY IF THE RATING IS 5 STARS. We'll see if Amazon also demands that the review includes only positive remarks.

The mp3 player is okay. The touch screen is very sensitive. The speaker is a bit better than average and is located at the bottom of the unit. When you add an external speaker it is much better. One issue I have with it is that it cannot play a live CD track to track without stopping for a second or so. I am a big time music person with a number of albums & CD's. I use this MP3 player while out walking or in the garage. The screen is very hard to see outside. Lots of storage space with the 16GB's available. It is a sturdy build and a bit heavier that the plastic models. It is a good value for all the features it has. Though I am not sure if I will keep it. Previously I had a SONY mp3 (as I call it a digital walkman) player & I think it is a better unit. Easier to understand/work without reading an instruction manual.

fantastic that there are so many features. the voice recorder, speaker, and bluetooth works great. it plays flac, mp3, and wav with no problem. a headphone cable is needed to receive fm radio. it works with headphone cable to an external speaker but you cannot use the internal speaker with fm. i couldnt get ogg files to be recognized.

For such a small device the sound quality is excellent. Small enough to fit in your pocket. No touch screen, but you navigate through the items by pressing the left or right arrows and select by pressing the play/pause button. Easy enough to use. For FM you will need to use earbuds so they can act as an antenna, without them you don't get any stations. But with them you get good reception and quality sound. Takes an SD card. I used a 32gb card and loaded all my music on it. There are so many features it is hard to name all of them here, but I mainly purchased it for the voice recorder. I think it was a worthwhile purchase and do recommend.

I haven't played too much with battery life but the sound quality and the ease of going thru the menu and transferring music is a BREEZE! If I were to complain anything about this player, it would be that it lags just a teeeeeeeny tiny bit when I'm button mashing ( I'm a little too fast for it to keep up, hah). But other than that, it's GREAT quality and don't regret taking this one home. :)))
