Finally! A Book To Make A Beginner Into An Expert
I own or have at least taken a good look at almost every known book on SAP. The most frequent complaint I have about these books is that they are either too rudimentary or too dense to do anyone much good. If you want to go from know-nothing to know-a-little, there's books for that. If you want an enormous reference manual, there's books for that. But there's nothing to help a newer developer become an expert. Most people can only truly make this leap by repeatedly walking to the desk of a senior developer and bouncing scenarios off them. This book is a welcome change of pace that fills that void in the SAP book landscape. For $50 you get a bookful of tips gathered over the course of an SAP expert's career. Well organized into meaningful sections with a useful glossary, this is effectively the author's personal cheat sheet on steroids. You get his own tactics and innovations along with insights borrowed from his SAP buddies. The writing is clear and easy to understand. Series of steps are easy to follow with meaningful visual cues that will make sense to anyone who has worked with SAP. There's something for every facet of SAP development requirements. I'm glad to have this book - I suspect it will be on my desk for a long long time!
