i got this rosebud perfume strawberry lip balm in the squeeze tube as a small christmas gift for a friend and for myself. it’s perfect for moisturizing dry lips and giving that classic, old-school lip balm vibe. the tube is cute and retro, with the white packaging, red cap, and strawberry details. it looks exactly like the listing photos. the squeeze tube is easy to use and toss in a bag or stocking. nothing fancy, but it’s charming in a simple, old-school way. the texture is smooth and balmy, not gritty, and it spreads easily. it gives a soft, glossy finish without feeling sticky or thick. that said, it’s more of a light moisture seal than a deep repair balm. it helps dryness temporarily but doesn’t feel super long-lasting if your lips are really cracked. it smells like classic strawberry lip balm, not candy-sweet and not overpowering. very nostalgic. the flavor is mild and fades quickly, which i actually prefer. this formula is petroleum jelly free, which some people really like. it does contain beeswax and coconut oil, so not ideal if you’re sensitive to those. it didn’t irritate my lips, but it’s definitely a basic balm rather than anything soothing or medicated. for the price, it’s fine. you’re paying a bit for the brand name and nostalgia. i think it’s worth it as a small gift or stocking stuffer, but not something i’d rely on as my main everyday lip treatment. this is a cute, classic lip balm that does what it says but nothing more. it’s perfect as a small gift, stocking stuffer, or purse balm if you like nostalgic packaging and light moisture. if you need intense hydration or lip repair, this probably won’t be enough on its own. solid, simple, and very on-brand for rosebud.

This is hands down the best lip balm I have ever used. And I have used a lot. Burt's Bees used to work for me but then it stopped working and I got extremely dry peeling lips and little sores that were not cold sores around the corners of my mouth. I just assumed that it was something I was going to live with forever. But when I started using this lip balm exclusively, the little sores went away and my lips have never been more hydrated.

This will last you forever even if you use it multiple times a day!! I still haven't finished it and it's been months. It's super moisturizing but not sticky or shiny like lip gloss, which is what I was looking for. And as someone with scent sensitivity (anything will give me a headache) the strawberry scent is nice & not overpowering even under the nose lol. When I purchased this, it was listed as the tin of Smith's Strawberry Lip Balm, so that's what I'm reviewing. I never ordered the tube, but I did notice when it shipped to me the photo was of the tube... so, sorry if this review is misplaced! Anyway... I love this lip balm. I have been using it for years. It is affordable, works well, feels and smells nice, and comes in a pretty tin that makes me feel fancy and old-fashioned. I enjoy using it. Packaging is a big deal to me... the product might not technically be better than regular ol chapstick, but it's worth it to me. I've converted a couple of my friends to this balm as well. It is pale pink in the tin but doesn't have much of a tint on lips. I have pretty pink lips naturally, though, so it might show up more on someone with a lighter lip color. It works very well under lipstick because it moisturizes but is not too slippery. I prefer a thicker lip balm at night (pure lanolin works great-- I use Dr. Lipp), but for daytime this tin is perfect to toss in your bag and apply as needed. Also works great on cuticles in a pinch! It smells like strawberries but isn't overly scented or flavored. If you accidentally eat some of it, it doesn't taste like anything. Also my boyfriend doesn't mind kissing me when I have this on... it moisturizes but doesn't get everywhere like some lip balms. The finish is moist-matte, if that makes sense- not glossy. I have several of these tins laying around-- at work, in my purse, and in my makeup bag. I will continue to repurchase!

I've always had dry lips, and have to alternate between several lip balms/Chapsticks. This one has definitely made the roundup! It's nice and soft and glides on great, the strawberry smell doesn't last long after application, but that's to be expected. I'll definitely be purchasing often!

I have to say this is probably one of the best lip balms I've tried! I had very dry lips that kept peeling when I woke up and also after rinsing my mouth to the point that it just looked horrible. I read a bunch of reviews on this product and I have to say it's the best for dry lips and also smells good. This and Aquaphor both have helped my dry lips so much that I don't experience any peeling or dryness on my lips whatsoever. This is probably a good dupe for the rhode lip product, but even that product wasn't worse the price since it dried my lips and just made my peeling even worse. This is affordable yet also does the job of stopping the peeling of lips, helping retain the proper skin barrier and makes your lips look/feel moisturized and smooth. Highly recommend!

If you want to treat yourself, you can purchase this sweet smelling fancy lips salve, it's perfectly adequate. For keeping your lips soft and scale-free, Burt's Bees Pomegranate is more effective.
