This is exactly what we were looking for. We recently painted our home and our outdoor lights were broken/tarnished over time. Replacement parts were not available at big box stores. Our lights are up and working as before.

I replaced 6 sockets across 2 large brass and glass porch light fixtures. All are working, the lights look great, saving me buck buck bucks! Ease of installation will depend on your fixture or project, not this product. I was down to 1 of 6 lights working across the 2 fixtures. I took one down, figured out how to remove the sockets, measured one to ensure these would be a direct replacement; worked perfectly from the size to the screw base! The cost of the sockets was worth a try given the fixture replacement cost. SWEET! 😃

Item is as described. Look VERY carefully at it when comparing to what you want to replace. I have a lamp that has basically this base, but it is attached to a 3" extender. I thought I could just unscrew the extender and attach it to this one. Nope. You have to make sure you're getting the precise exact replacement.

I used these in a rebuild of a vanity mirror. I had to cut the loops off the metal and bend the remaining metal piece 90 degrees, for mounting around the mirror. I was worried about cracking the plastic, but they held up to the abuse!

Best way to change your plug and twist light fittings with standard screw in base. Great if you want to switch to Candelabra bulbs.
