I would rate it higher if it hadn't died after 3 years.
I would rate it higher if it hadn't died after 3 years. It worked great, until it didn't. And it's "smart" functioning was always terrible. Pretty much never used the apps b/c they were constantly freezing or took forever to load or just flat out didn't work. The picture suddenly went out 3.5 years after purchase and when I contacted Hisense they told me I had a canadian model tv and wouldn't support it. Then the canadian hisense didn't list the model as supported either. I tried to find a replacement part for what youtube troubleshooting implied might have been the problem and I couldn't find it sold anywhere. From reading the one star reviews about Hisense customer service, I decided it would be less painful for my pocket to take a hit than my sanity. So I just bought a new TV, NOT from Hisense. Will not purchase from this brand again.

Stopped working after 4.5 years
Well, the tv's picture was really decent. But,there has always been a soft white light in the bottom right corner that I've dealt with. Until last night, picture started to flicker, then after 10 minutes or so stopped. Then today turn it on and won't atop flickering, tried resetting it to default, changing settings, unplugging it. Everything. Got tv in Dec 2013, so 4.5 years for me. Now off to get a new tv unfourtantly. Only good thing is gives me an excuse to get a 4k, but was happy with this tv...Until it stopped working

The PPQ cannot be beat.
My TV came with 2pair of the rechargeable glasses. They are marvelous. TV doesn't hurt the eyes much in 3d mode. It has a function to turn 2d TV into 3d. It works and is amusing but no replacement for a film actually shot in 3d. The screen is edge lit which is phenomenal 98% of the time. In dark screen the edge-lit corners are brighter than the rest of the screen noticeably. It is actually nice but will bother some people. The stand is awesome. The mounting profile on the back is small and this TV will actually mount to wall stand that are too small to support it. To be safe a new wall bracket should probably be bought and mounted. The screen is a bulletproof piece by Hitachi. Hi-sense USA are the people to call with any problems, or to order additional glasses. Just to be safe since the glasses models for the different spec'd TV's vary wildly in design and technology used for 3d. They are a Chinese company in case that bothers you. The quality aesthetics and functionality all feel south Korean though so you shouldn't worry. The only fear i have with this TV is longevity. That has not been proven to me and only time with give me that experience. If it is soon, i will re-post. Enjoy the TV it is worth the money. Samsung models are double the price and not THAT much better.

It's a good TV but that's it.
Very nice TV. Can't say the same thing for the apps on it though.Only a few useful apps such as Netflix and Vudu. Nothing else on the app network which is some third party chinese market. Has no support or updates to apps or firmware.I would of gone with a better known brand if I would have known these issues.Picture quality is very nice.

Great Image, terrible App/Firmware options... Netflix/Vudu only
The image quality is great. The only complaint I have is the responsiveness of the remote (with clear line-of-sight no more than 10 feet away), and the complete lack of apps/firmware options. You get Netflix and Vudu, and some REEEEALLY bad "games". After 5-6 months, still no updates to apps/firmware. Netflix runs fine, and I haven't tried Vudu since I don't care to pay for another service. I wish it supported Amazon Prime Video, so we've been using our net-enabled bluray player for that. We tried the 3D once, and it was decent, even in the 2D->3D mode (which I had no expectations of working). The bad thing about the glasses is they have NO indicator of charge/charging, or even if they are On/Off, other than putting them on, mashing buttons and waiting to see if there is a visual difference. They are active sync, and so a bit pricey to replace, and I've yet to find a pair as light as these are.

Fantastic TV! One shortcoming!
Haven't written reviews for many years, This was a sweet heart deal. Looked on Amazon and it's not there? Glad I bought it when I did. The tv works well. We enjoy the 3D when we get a great Blue Ray. 2D can be enhanced but it depends on quality of the video, and it's only slightly better.Only complaint is I couldn't directly attach my older Onkyo directly. Using the mini jack because of the limited outputs. Probably not an oversight. LOL! Can't afford a new Onkyo but we do get sound enough using the mini plug adapted to larger input plug for the sound system.Bought the backup service plan. (haven't needed it but???)The TV was delivered and unpacked as promised.Glasses are a bit cumbersome but work well.As I said went back to find it and it was not there.I'd do this again!
