Germany Vodafone Prepaid Sim Card - CallYa Talk&SMS with 10 Euro Calling Credit

Came activated and ready to go with 10 Euro. I needed a nano SIM so I cut it down and put it into my new Galaxy S6 Edge. I did this in the USA and it came right up and connected roaming via ATT to Vodafone. I needed more time. So I went online to Aufladen.de to buy more time. Paid that with Paypal since the works best. Added extra time.Then I called my US phone number from the phone with this SIM. I needed a 5 min call using my Sansung Galaxy S6 Edge with a German SIM to remove the Region Lock. That worked and now my Galaxy S6 is free and clear. I now use that as my main phone with US ATT SIM. I have moved the Vodaphone Callya SIM to my older Galaxy as my German phone.The only reason I could imagine that anyone had trouble is that they tried to use this SIM is a locked phone as I had no problem at all.

Purchased a Vodafone SIM starter pack from MediaMarkt, and they said i have to activate it myself. So when i opened the pack, the SIM card inside was operated by 'mobilcom debitel' instead of Vodafone themselves. Despite that, i went online and struggled through the language challenges to get to the verificaiton part, where i was required to use the webcam on my laptop to show the person on the other end my passport for verification. After a few tries, the verification process completed and I received a message on screen taht it was successful.After 12+ hours later, the SIM card is still not activated. Went in to a Vodafone shop, they say that they cant help cos its a mobilcom product (despite it being sold inside a red Vodafone pack! Said they can't help and referred me to OctoMedia, another retailer who is supposed to have mobilcom products. Went to OctoMedia, and they said they don't do Mobilcom and that MediaMarkt (where i purchased from originally) should be the ones responsible to activate it.After getting the runaronud, i am happier now to say that i will never use Vodafone again as it is just not worth the trouble. I bet lots of other toursts fall into this trap too and end up wasting their money. Please avoid Vodafone prepaid in Germany (maybe even worldwide) if you can!

Gosimcard is the same supplier and I am sure that my Mobile communication in Germany will be fine!!

Don't bother - never could get it activated. Vodafone web information and instructions were contradictory... and in the end - not useful.

1. Ich will per Telefon anmelden, krieg nur pampige ,unfreundliche Antworten.2. Ich soll Kopien meines Ausweises und alle Daten per Briefpost schicken, was ich tat , und dann folgt3. Eine Mail:" Karte war schon aktiviert... " was nicht stimmte, niemand konnte mich anrufen und auch nicht umgekehrt.4. Ich rief nochmal bei Vodafone an, diesmal freundlicher Mann, doch leider ein total gebrochenes Deutsch, dass man kaum noch was versteht.5. Er sagte ich solle diesmal entweder per Internet registrieren, oder in eine Vodafone -Zentrale aufsuchen.6. Auf Internetseite war total aufwendig die Registrierung, alle Daten nochmals eingegeben und dann, musste NOCHMALS PER WEBCAM mein Ausweis zeigen, nach einer etwas längeren Warteschleife. Ehrlich es reicht, nie wieder. SIM -Karte funktioniert war, aber das mache ich nicht noch mal durch.
