Sierra Club Wilderness Calendar 2016

I have been buying Sierra Club Calendars for my house for the past 25 years. They are inevitably filled with lovely photos, are of a nice large size, and each page block allows one the space to write reminders for appointments, and other types of reminders. This 2016 version is no exception. The pictures are breathtaking, with gloriously colored photographs. The photographic quality is so high as to remind one of a far more expensive calendar. But more than all of this, the Sierra Club is a wonderful organization which has been working steadily and quietly for a very long time indeed to protect, and to preserve our many, many locations of stunning natural beauty, as well as the animals and other creatures that inhabit these locations. The Sierra Club has saved many areas that would otherwise have been doomed to development, of a type which would forever have destroyed their natural beauty, in addition to protecting and saving various creatures within our natural world. For me this is a lovely calendar, worth its very reasonable price, but far more than that, this calendar represents and supports the work and ideals of a wonderful organization, dedicated to saving and preserving our natural world - not only for us, but for the many generations of our descendants still to come. Buy this as a lovely calendar, but also buy this with an eye to the ideals and practices which you will be supporting with the purchase of this lovely calendar.

First time buying a Sierra Club calendar but we love it and will be buying one every year from now on. The size is 13-1/2" high x 11-1/4" wide. When opened up for hanging, double the height to 27" high. Each monthly calendar fills the full sheet without a lot of unnecessary fluff to waste space. That results in each daily block being the maximum size for writing notes. Love that a lot! The pictures are really excellent and great to look at. That's just icing on the cake for this great calendar. This is by far the best calendar for keeping track of appointments that we ever bought in our life. Did I say we love it? Yep!

I could get a calendar that is cheaper, but every year I splurge and get this one. It is so elegant and classy that it looks more like wall art. The photos are high quality and not average. It has larger spaces to write appts or whatever, which is a big part of why I get a wall calendar. Plus, I believe that part of the purchase goes to helping the environment through the profit that goes to the Sierra Club. Nice.

The photography in this calendar is stunning, with beautiful nature scenes and vivid color! The paper is glossy and heavy duty and should last well, and the boxes for each day are nice and large, allowing plenty of room for recording appointments, etc.

Beautiful. The photographs are stunning, although this year's selection is not as appealing to me as last year's. I would have preferred to have the selection from the Engagement calendar to hang on the wall. It is still lovely and will be added to my collection. As the urban jungle encroaches, this provides a means of escape, if only temporarily.

Well made calendar. With thick pages - not cheap thin sheets. That feature alone makes this a 5 STAR item. Too many calendars are made too cheaply with thin paper. Pictures are good quality. Fits well in the area I wanted to use it. I would buy again from Sierra Club if this is the example of calendar quality.

I have always bought these great beautiful calendars every year at kiosks around holiday time in Dec. The boxes each month are perfect to write my busy schedule. I discovered I can purchase these through Amazon at less cost plus in July/Aug. This makes it easier to write all my appointments for the next year on the calendar immediately (like when you have an annual Dr. or car appointment, you go to it, they give you an appointment for the next year) It arrives boxed as is its usual way to purchase and so is always undamaged!!!! It has all the days... not just the weekdays and not just for a month it two--it has every day of every month of 2016. Better yet, the months and days are all in order - so no skipping around, looking for the right month-day. My only critique is that it doesn't have my wife's birthday or my Wedding Anniversary in it.. this means I'm either going to forget (which ALWAYS causes a fight) or I have to remember what days those are and mark them on the calendar (problem is, I already forgot but I'm too scared to ask my wife because the last time I forgot her birthday/our anniversary, we got into a huge fight)... All-in-all, it's a good Calendar, but I'll probably replace it next year.
