Very easy read, and helpful too
I purchased this book because it looked more interesting than just reading the manual that came with my camera, and it was outstanding. It is much easier to read, and has some nice illustrations also to help. I am totally new to digital photography, and this book has helped me get up to speed FAST! It also helped me make some decisions about purchasing accessories, like flashes, diffusers, and a tripod. There is excellent information about lense selection too. I thought the book was a resonable price to pay to get lots more enjoyment out of my new D60 camera.

Good resource
This a great resource for the begining photographer. Really explains the functions of the D60 pretty well. I give it just four stars because I wanted it to be a little bit more detailed. I would prefer a little more in depth details in the book, but I did find it useful in setting up my D60 and learning about the manual functions of the camera. If you have a D60 and want to know the general uses of all the functions and settings, than this is going to be a great choice.

Love my NIkon D60
My old Nikon take's film and I don't like that any more so I got the new one and I love it, I have several camera's but this is the real work horse, it does all I want to do with it, it has so many special things that it does.I have to admit I haven't learned it all, it is really different from the film one but I am learning and highly recomend it to anyone who like's photography as much as I do.

Good reference guide for the Nikon D60
The Nikon D60 book is a great guide to an old camera I have. Easy to read and reference for the Nikon digital camera functioning. This book answers questions about settings I wasn't sure how to use.

Good value for a moderately useful guide (for beginners only)
I got the Nikon D60 from my dad and I never cared about taking picture before (laziness). This guide repeats what is in the manual given with the camera and adds some sections to explain a bit better the meaning of exposure, aperture, shutter speed and ISO. I guess I could have looked them up, but I paid less than $6 (the cost was basically all shipping expenses) and I would have not bothered looking them up otherwise. Now I can actually use the manual mode and get decent pictures.

Great book to have!
Great book for anyone who just purchased a Nikon d60 camera, and a great reference to go back to from time to time to review certain feature that are not used all the time.

Nikon D60 Digital Field Guide
I recently purchased my first dSLR and wanted a guide to go along with the manual to help me learn how to use the camera. I'm just beginning to read the book and learn about the camera, but so far I can say that it is much better than the manual and would definitely recommend it as a supplement. It's a great book for a beginner who's just learning to use the camera as it's easy to read, easy to understand, and has colorful images and examples explaining different shooting options.

Not being a professional. I bought this book. I haven't read it all yet. But in parts. Very good. Fascinating. I recomend it. There are other versions for other cameras..J.R

Direi che non essendoci un manuale competo con la camera, questo ha fatto il suo lavoro!! Da avere senza dubbio.

Cracking little book...
I go along with Chris R's review of this tidy alternative to the (very good) Nikon manual that comes with this neat DSLR.After a few years of using compact digitals, I missed my old 35mm SLRs, and plumped for the D-60 as a light but full-featured camera that is well-built, has a nice weight and is an excellent entry into the world of high-quality digital photography. The Field guide is like a manual-plus in that it covers all the knobs-and-dials bits, then has much more detailed tips and reminders as to how to get the best out of the kit.A bargain at the price, penned by an enthusiast who obviously likes the camera itself, and all in full colour. An easy way to learn your way about with this fairly complex tool, and delivered in a remarkable 36hrs.

Mixed bag
If you've got a Nikon D60, then you'll be looking at this and wondering if this is worth buying to get more out of your camera....If all you want to do is learn what all the buttons do, then don't bother buying this. The same info is contained in the comprehensive manual that came with your camera. If you're looking to learn better photography, then there are better, more detailed manuals and books on this subject available. If however you're looking for a small book, that you can take with you that will allow you to refresh your memory on the cameras functions, or what's the right way to set up a shot, and what kinds of lens to pick for a given style of photography, and reminders for all those other things its easy to forget, then this book's invaluable when you are out and about.Small enough that it will easily fit in your camera bag, yet detailed enough and organised properly so that you can make better shots on the fly, this will help you make the most of your D60.Definitely reccomended

Very useful guide
I bought this field guide after my wife bought me a Nikon D60 for my birthday unfortunately the seller she purchased it from, here on Amazon, was from Holland and naturally the camera came with a dutch instruction book. Being from Glasgow dutch aint a language I am familiar with. After manfully struggling to figure out the camera by myself I gave up and bought this field manual.Best decision ever. Not only did it explain all the setttings and functions but it also supplies a myriad of helpful photography hints.Being a total amatuer these were very helpful and improved my shots overnight. If you need help with the D60 or just want to improve your photography a little this book is perfect.
