The Zen of Screaming (DVD & CD)

Got this for my son for his Birthday. Vocalist /Lyricist for the band PrecordialThump. Heard about this Video from Trevor Strnad, vocalist from the band The Black Daliah Murder.

This simple, straightforward course is amazing. With a self-referential sense of humor and light hearted tone, the teacher gets down to the very serious business of the scream WITHOUT destroying your vocal chords. Quite a few trade secrets to be found here. If you listen and follow the instructions, you'll benefit greatly.

I have been doing screaming vocals for a long time (over 8 years) I thought I didn’t need this, until I watched it and did the warmups. Melissa Cross is great, and this dvd really helped me out a lot with learning new techniques, etc.

This won't teach you how to DO metal vocals but it will teach you technique and warm ups that you never would have thought would work.

I bought this for my wife. She loves it. She is always playing in the car.

Learning a lot from this dvd to help develop what I already do. I’ve improved quite a bit in 2 weeks of using the techniques.

Very dissappointed... Sure, I got to learn very essential vocal techniques, but I didn't see anywhere during the DVD on how to actually produce the sound the vocalists made... Very frustrating. I don't know about you, but if I bought a disc that was supposed to teach me how to box, and basically was a bunch of warm ups, but literally no boxing, then I would be furious. same idea here.
