Great product. App works consistently for me!
Works great! Arrived with all of the mounting hardware I needed and fits perfectly in my window. Great upgrade from my previous 5,000 BTU unit. Also, I know a lot of reviews complain about the app not working most of the time and I still purchased because the wireless feature wasn't a big selling point for me, however, I have only once had it not connect. And the time it didn't connect I just restarted the app and it worked perfectly. I have only used the app to show my friends that I can control it from the app as my window is right next to me, but I do not believe that the problems with the app are still relevant. One small issue I found was that the temperature sensor needs air flow to properly read the temperature. To correct this I just turn it down below where I want the temperature until the air begins to flow and then I set the temperature to my preferred set point. Not a big issue and not enough for me to dock this product a star.

If I had to do it over I wouldn't buy this unit again
After 2 summers with this AC I'm a bit disappointed considering the price tag.Pros:- Fits easily into my window, and all mounting hardware is included- App is easy to install and initially connect to wifi- The unit can cool my living room in under 10 minutes (unless it's on Econ mode)Cons:- The iOS app is glitchy. It routinely is unable to process commands, thus negating the main selling point of this product.- Temperature sensor doesn't accurately measure the temperature, which means that Econ mode is useless and I consistently have to play around with the temperature to get the AC to cool my space properly.- The lights are blindingly bright. I've had to take a piece of paper over the display so I'm not bothered at night. Honestly, if I turn all the lights out in my apartment I can easily see with only the AC display light.- It's not exactly quiet. The unit isn't super loud, but it's enough that I have to turn the radio or TV up significantly if the AC is also on.- The schedule option on the app is rather basic and does not allow for custom schedules by day of the week. You can only set a schedule for the weekdays and the weekend. If I had to do it over I wouldn't buy this unit again

Solid AC that works great for my home office.
Although its still early in the season, I have been using this in my home office (about 175sq ft) that gets very warm due to the number of computers and hardware I have in here. The noise level is OK....not silent by any means but on LOW it is very tolerable. I rarely have to put it higher as it can cool the room from the about 81-82 to the low 73-74 within 10-15 minutes. No functional issues so far at all, been working great. A few annoyances: (1) when you turn it on it defaults to ECON mode, I'd rather it remember the setting I last put it at. (2) the desired temp displayed on the device is not accurate, you hear the compressor kick on/off, but the actual temp in the room is about 2 degrees higher than what you set it to. Not a big deal as learn where to set it for your comfort. Installation was simple enough, and the WiFI features are convenient and work just fine but not a feature I necessarily needed.

App no longer works.
I purchased the Frigidaire FFRC0833R1 Cool Connect 8,000 BTU 115V Window-Mounted Air Conditioner last year. The app worked great. This year is a completely different story. On both the iPad Air 2 and iPhone 6+, the app will not stay connected. This was the main reason I chose this particular AC.Also, the AC is loud!I can't recommend buying this.

Arrived Pretty Banged Up!
Arrived with slightly dented top and small crack in the plastic. The right vent and deflector were popped out out socket. I had to bend it like crazy to get it back in. I should have checked before accepting, but the box looked fine. Other than cosmetics, it works great and the app works from anywhere.

Useful only for the remote access wifi; other than that it is a cheaply made AC
Disappointed. The truth is that the ONLY reason I have not returned this AC is because of the remote access and it is just a pain in the ass to return. I can't find an AC with wifi for the same price, therefore I am stuck with this. With that said, the Frigidaire wifi app is absolute garbage; it works, but expect a VERY buggy application, which will require minutes of your time to simply change the temperature by a few degrees. Clearly the company has hired some very junior developers to for the software. The air flow direction fans are a terrible design, and don't really work. Also, I should note that the AC just barely, very barely, will cool down the advertised square footage <- note that the AC will need to be on high and lowest temp (60 degrees) for this to actually happen. What this means is that this is meant for a large bedroom. Note that this AC is NOT quiet, however it is NOT loud either. On the low and medium setting, there is a slight rattle too.One more note: when you turn on the AC remotely on your phone, it automatically turns to ECON mode with AUTO fan speed. This requires you to then set it to COOL and HIGH (since that is the only way I can actually cool my room down). This is a pain in the ass, again since the application is so poorly designed.Overall, this is a relatively cheaply made AC with remote (wifi) access. If this AC did not have remote access, it would be worth LESS than half the cost. I'm keeping it since it is such a pain to return, research a new one, and then install it back in.My advice: unless you are buying this specifically for the remote access wifi, do not buy it.
