These are larger than I expected even though I read the measurements. My planters in the photos are about 12" x 6". They hold water and keep the soil moist. I use the terracotta stakes that you add wine/water bottle to for my outdoor plants but wanted something more decorative for inside my home. These are working great and look good as well. They are very well made and heavy. Very happy with my purchase.

Would have been a 5 but I had to return them because they were too big for my pots. Needed a smaller size

Cannot speak for how they function, as I returned them. The packaging and handling were great, product intact, but the size of the individual items was not suitable for my needs. These are for much larger pots and plants than I have. The appearance is also not as cute in person, as looked to me on the photo, and combined with the large size, they'd stick out like massively sore thumbs, if used at home. However, they may be suitable elsewhere, maybe a garden - next to the gnomes or other garden decor.

Not only are they cute, they’re functional. I went on vacation for 2 weeks and my plants were still alive and healthy when I returned!

After research, I got terra cotta water spikes to help keep my plants alive while I was out of town. I did a trial before my trip and these did not stand up to the heat we were experiencing. All of the water drained into my plants within 2-3 hours of me inserting the spikes (and I had watered my plants before inserting the spikes). These might be good supplements if you are around and monitoring your plants, but these did not work for me as a way to keep my plants alive while I was out of town. Also, it might have just been my delivery, but the box these came in was damaged and the stryofoam protection was all over the place. I'm amazed that these weren't broken.

These mushrooms definitely look pretty! They hold a decent amount of water. They are better used with mid sized to larger house plants. Using them with smaller plants say 4 or 5 inch pots can lead to the plants being over watered.
