ActivArmr 97-003 Cut Protection Gloves - Heavy-Duty, Wet-Dry Grip, Breathable, Size X-Large (1 pair)

I worked at a scrap yard for years handling everything sharp & heavy under the sun & these gloves saved my hands flawlessly. I originally bought these gloves at Menards (they still carry these in stock last I checked) but was so glad Amazon sells them too.Every glove is not equal. I've tried dozens of gloves over the years that claimed to be made for heavy duty work but none came even close to these.The velcro strap being on the back of the gloves are a great idea to me because objects don't get in the way & have it come undone while working.The velcro also never fuzzed up & became unusable after taking them on & off like many other heavy labor/mechanics gloves tend to do after a while.9 months of 8 hour daily wearsI've picked up broken glass, sharp edged metals, rusty jagged pipes, busted sinks & everything else that folks dump off at a metal & iron scrap yard with these gloves & never got so much as a scrape on my hands.These gloves ARE NOT WATERPROOF but that doesn't effect their durability.I recommend getting 1 size smaller than what you wear normally because they will form to your hand without any bulk. I have larger hands & wear size XL & a size L were perfect after an hour of work.These gloves are worth their weight in gold!! I promise you will not be disappointed with these.

I always start by saying I only write reviews if I totally love a product, so here we go. I started to believe it was not possible to purchase a glove that lasted more than a couple months. I've ordered most brands of gloves that Amazon carries and was let down every time. A couple times I've paid as much as 45.00 on work gloves just to have holes form on the side of the finger tips after a few weeks. The Ansell ActivArmr has made me a believer, after 2 months of use the only sign of wear is a little cracking of the nitrile material on the webbing of the thumb. The velcro is even keeping it's grip and not tearing a hole in the in the attached part of the glove. I put a lot of stress on that part because I constantly take my gloves off through the night when I'm finished working with the equipment. The only problem some people may have is every so often you may feel like your hands are being scratched, similar to when handling steel wool. Thats a minor inconvenience for me since it's seldom happens after the first week of use. I'm getting ready to order another pair just to have on hand in case they ever discontinue this glove.

Only giving four stars because I haven't had an occasion to experience the cut or puncture protection yet which is why I purchased them. You shouldn't expect them to last very long with daily handling of highly abrasive materials like bricks, broken rock and concrete, but neither will any other material short of chain mail.Otherwise I give these a 5-star rating on everything else. The gloves fit better and are more comfortable and flexible than expected. You can actually pick up small parts and manipulate bolts and nuts with relative ease. They fit my hands and fingers well - my hands are an average 'large' size and that's the glove size I ordered.A REAL PLUS, NOT ADVERTISED that I discovered by accident: These gloves work on my touch screen devices! Just as well as the expensive touch screen gloves sold for that purpose!

Working out perfect so far. I’ve only used them for about a week on and off. I really like the pads, they’re a nice thickness but not at all bulky but that’s just for me.

I love these gloves they always last alot longer then any other glove I buy however this time I recieved 2 different pairs of gloves and I wore the first pair until worn out and then I opened this pair and theres a hole on the left hand index finger. I've had them since November never once used them. Kinda disappointing

I was a little skeptical at first. I work with asphalt and go through gloves within 2 weeks. I've had these gloves for 2 months now without even a tear.

These are go to gloves, the only thing to be aware of are the wear points. Palms are totally good. Index fingers and back of hand are areas that tend to wear out before the glove does. That and the wrist fabric tears loose of sewn in tab, over time as you put them on, requires that you pull and material gives way. Other than that, I buy these often, in hopes that these areas improve over time.

These gloves are tough when it comes to abrasion/wear. No doubt about that in my experience. Having owned a few pairs, curiously though, they haven't really tolerate heavy dirt in my experience... they've neither resisted nor released it- and wind up failing at joints.I guess if I had work where I really wanted good protection for my hands - where there was no/little risk of exposure to dirt/particulate contamination - I'd get these gloves again.
