Yamaha V-Star 950 Motorcycle (2009-2012) Service Repair Manual

Great for troubleshooting and maintenance.

The Clymer books show, with clear visuals (most photographic), a very systematic process for disassembly and reassembly of almost all things mechanical. This Yamaha 950 V-Star manual is no exception, and it also includes colour coded electrical diagrams, something the "official" Yamaha manual did not have for my 650 V-Star.It effectively replaces the owner's manual since it covers the regular and simple maintenance items (storage, oil and filter changes, grease points, etc.) as well as vehicle specifications and tolerances. It also tackles the major repairs and overhauls in great detail, including a listing of any special tools you might need to do the job. The book is also physically small enough that you can put it in a saddle bag and take it with you.This manual has already guided me through my first wheel change on this bike (for tire replacement) and pointed out the pitfalls as I went. It has already paid for itself.I suggest this book should be one of the first accessories one should purchase after getting a bike, whether one is mechanically inclined or not. For information purposes alone it is worthwhile - it will help level the knowledge difference between you and a mechanic if trouble arises, especially when you don't have the confidence, tools, skill, or knowledge to tackle it yourself.Highly recommended.

Great book. I got it and it started answering question the first day. I bought some aftermarket add ons for my bike and the book made it easy to install them. The instructions that came with the add ons were lacking in the information department. But, I flipped the book open to see if it would help. Sure enough, great instuctions and pictures too. I know this book will be a part of my ride for a long time.

Purchased with hopes that it also would apply to my 2015. I was mainly after the wiring diagrams to connect sensors and additional electronic devices to motorcycle. So far it appears to working for my 2015.

I have a 2015 v star 950 tourer. bought this after not being able to use the manual on CD-ROM. Information is "spot on" bike is the same. Great help for adding lights and adding crash bars. Clymer hits a home run with me.

Book is well written and organized with almost all the information one would need to know to work on the motorcycle. They have been at this for lots of years and it shows. Seller had on time delivery

Saves a lot of routine maintenance and small repair costs. Nice to have the specs and basic troubleshooting info, although my wife's 950 has never had any trouble to shoot.

I like my bike,,but had no information about it ,,I looked around where I live,nothingI was pleased to get the book and the info I need to do minor repairsIt's good to know what you are doing,,,,,

Adequate, but could be better. The pictures are not very clear and are black and white, not colour as you would expect. Makes identifying things harder, which is the whole point of the manual. OK but could be so much better, certainly not like Haynes.

Just what I needed. Great, keeps it simple...full of top tips.

This book is the bible for bike repair. There is nothing that you could encounter on your bike concerning repairs, tune-up or information that is not covered in this shop manual. Highly recommended.
