So easy a caveman could do it!
Perfect tool if you have the Locator type/brand abutments and male cups in your overdentures. I watched a brief video posted by LearnLODI on Youtube and it took about a minute to change my male cups. Saved over $100 on the initial use and every time I use this after today I'll save over $180 every three months as that's how often I have to change mine. I still visit my dentist every 6 months for cleaning and checkup and I do not recommend you replace your regularly scheduled dentist visits, but who wants to pay $240+ to have 7 little nylon cups replaced 4 times per year? As far as this tool is concerned, buy the Locator brand tool. It's very well made and super easy to use.

Good tool
It works really well for replacing the nylon cups, not so much for removing them, I had to take my old cups out with a pick, I have not used any of the other things it can do, yes, the tool is well made and I would buy again

What my dentist uses
Works great, some caps are very difficult to remove. When that happens it's time for new metal housing. But this handy little tool will save so much money when you simply need new retention caps.

I am so impressed with this tool
The Locator Core Tool is vert well made. I had ordered the Locator Core Tool, and the Locator Male Replacement Caps that I needed from Amazon. I have four post on top and four on the bottom. I watched the video because this is the first time that the nylon caps have been replaced so I had not seen my dentist do it. I changed all 8 caps in less than 10 minutes, and it was so easy. I saved myself not only money, but my time as well. I can replace the caps when ever I need to without the hassle of having to schedule an appointment and go into the office. I love the independence of being able to do it my self.

Saved Me Hundreds!
All my dental records were lost when my dentist went out of business during the pandemic so I had no idea what brand my denture implants were. The retainers had long ceased to 'retain' anything and I was using dabs of denture adhesive to get by.I was getting quotes from $700 to $900 to send them to 'the lab' for a week to have them 'repaired'. This seemed way out of line to me so I did my research and found mine to be the legacy Zest Locator system with black inserts.I ordered the Zest legacy tool for $94 and the Amazon clear locator set (5 lb) for $30. I watched the product tutorial video for this tool and was able to perform the replacement of 4 inserts in about 3 minutes. Total cost $124 and about 10 minutes total including learning how to use the tool.I dinged it a couple stars on the 'Value' scale. I own professional tools and expect to pay much more for the quality, however, this is about 40% higher than it needs to be.Now if I can just learn how to fill cavities...

WOW-works perfectly!
I have been changing out my own locator inserts for 2 years, and have always struggled with getting them out. Putting them in was not much of an ordeal, but using a dental pick to get them out was tiresome. I finally decided to splurge and get the *removal/insertion tool.I just put in a new set of 5# locators and it took all of 30 seconds, maybe a whole minute. The video on this listing was helpful as well. Although I know the process of taking out/putting in, this tool was a dream to use. so smooth and easy. And it came quickly, some of the other sellers might be cheaper, but the wait time on shipping was much longer. Thanks again for a great tool and video presentation!!

Snap in dentures? Great way to save money.
If you have snap in dentures, part of your maintenance responsibility is to get the nylon/plastic retention caps replaced every 6 to 9 months. My dental practice charges $140 for this. This tool is a bit expensive but well worth it in the long run as you can use this tool to easily replace the caps yourself for just the cost of the caps. A set of my style of caps runs me $45 and saves me over an hour of driving to-from my dentist (plus wait time in the office). Plenty of How To videos on the "Y" channel. There are universal caps but some abutments require a brand specific style of cap so check with your dental office.
