The AMPHENOL IPGH3M4-VF Moca splitter worked like a charm - I have now a second satellite installed in my house and coverage/speed has greatly improved.I definitely recommend this product!

Nice option for separating cable TV bandwidth from MoCA bandwidth in your coax wiring. In my application there isn’t any cable TV service (but that might change) just internet service which the router/gateway can deliver via MoCA over coax. The house wasn’t wired with Ethernet cable so coax is being used with Motorola MoCA to Ethernet adapters to provide wired network connections at key locations throughout the house.

I have Fios TV going to multiple TVs as well as Over The Air (OTA) TV going to additional TVs. These are on separate coax runs. The Fios system uses MoCA from the Router to the set top boxes and thus provides the base TCP/IP network over the Fios coax cables.Due to not having Ethernet cable runs in the house I wanted to provide TCP/IP network to the OTA coax system as well so I could use MoCA to ethernet adapters to connect devices directly instead of using Wi-Fi.This device works flawlessly in bridging this gap by connecting a cable from the Fios distribution splitter to one of the MoCA only ports on this splitter. Once the antenna is connected to the designated input, I was able to connect my OTA TVs to the hybrid ports and have MoCA capability in the rooms with the OTA TVs.Hence now I have Fios Cable TV signals on one splitter and OTA TV signals on this splitter and they do not interfere with each other, yet the MoCA signals are available on both splitters. I found that I should have connected the cable from the MoCA only port directly to the "IN" port of the second splitter for better signal performance.

These splitters can be wonderful for people trying to use MoCA for TiVo multi-room setups. Your Tivo/main TV goes on one of the "hybrid" ports, along with the cable modem (I had a relatively long run around the house for the modem, so it is on the "-4dB" port with the least loss). You then have another port available for either another Tivo, or a phone modem from your ISP, or just another TV that you just want basic service on.Then you can wire your other rooms (with TiVo Minis in them) to the "MoCA only" ports, and they don't eat into the power budget of the normal TV service.A splitter that provided full TV signal to all 7 downstream ports would have something like 10-11 dB of loss... most CATV providers only provide 6-8 dB into a house, typically (although this varies based on distance from pole/tap and distance from the active equipment on the lines / underground).

Great for some homes using MoCA with homerun coax wiring. However, if your home does not use homerun wiring (all coax runs from a single central location) this may not be the best choice for using MoCA. What I mean is that the 4 MoCA "only" ports can only be used with MoCA exclusively, if you have a more traditional wiring setup via smaller cascaded splitters and need mixed use, meaning CATV, OTA, and MoCA, the 4 MoCA only ports are useless and you may be better off with a standard MoCA 2.0 rated splitter from Holland and Verizon. Also, although this splitter does not pass MoCA back up through it's input, this is done via a circuit similar to a diplexer, and therefore lacks the "reflective" bounce that a traditional MoCA filter provides.Again a great device for MoCA use, if and only if you can take advantage of the 4 MoCA only ports, otherwise, you may be better off with a MoCA rated splitter from Holland or Verizon and a traditional MoCA filter.

Seems like a quality splitter, heavy duty construction - don't know the longevity yet, only had a few months, but no issues setting up and speeds have been maxed. I have Spectrum for internet (no tv or other service) - and have no problems using splitter. I did install two PoE filters - one at the "input" to this splitter, and another at the coax into the cable modem - and I'm using w/ goCoax MoCA adapters.

Works great. It corrected signal loss issues to my cable modem and now my moca network is much more stable.

A simple and effective solution for a home MoCA setup.
