This Vietnamese coffee doesn't taste like most American coffee, but that's not a bad thing. Dissolves easily in hot water, and I have a friend who mixes it cold (but he eats cold beans out of a can, too, so...). I usually toss a couple packets per day when backpacking for a caffeine boost before getting back on the trail in the morning.

This is similar to what I drank for breakfast while on a return trip to Vietnam in 2018, and use it mostly in the Summer here in the U.S., as it has very good flavor and is easy to use.

I'm serious when it comes to coffee, and very particular. I like my coffee very strong, but I hate bitter coffee. Which is why I think Starbucks ruined coffee in America, and it's spreading throughout the world like a virus. My favorite coffees are germanic roasts (germany, austria, etc), which are super-smooth, so they can be made very strong with no bitterness.I traveled to Vietnam in 2017, and was extremely surprised at how delicious their coffee is. It has a very unique taste, it's strong, and it's smooth. This G7 instant coffee perfectly embodies Vietnamese coffee, and it's outstanding. It is superior in flavor to any chain store coffee I've ever had. And it's better than just about everything else I've used at home, and I'm talking ALL coffee, not just instant coffee. It's not instant coffee in the way many of us Americans think of instant -- it's not crystals. It's actually super-fine ground coffee beans that seem to magically disappear before you drink it, but then when you drink the last bit of coffee, you see some grind residue at the bottom (but at no time did I notice that I'm drinking grounds).

These are convenient but I was expecting a stronger flavor. Even after adding a second packet, it tasted the same as if I only used 1 packet.

I love Vietnamese coffee but I dont always have time to make it or dont have sweetened condensed milk around. I had been buying the 3 in 1 packets, which are great, but they are a bit too sweet for me. I am trying to cut down on my sugar in take so I switched to these instant packets for when I am rushed in the mornings or am traveling. With a little oat milk or almond milk, it is perfect. I will always have these on hand. I love the bold, strong, robust coffee flavor and can drink it without sweetener. This is a great product.
