I don't use it regularly just a few times a year because I going gray just on top of head and occasionally like to refresh my hair color. I find I have my best results when my hair is dry contrary to instructions but this is what works for me. Most salons apply hair color on dry hair first anyway before shampoing so I gave it a try and it works better because your not deluting the color with damp wet head. I also seperate my hair in sections since it is so thick to saturate and blend in the color. After I apply the product to my head I then cover my hair with a clear disposable shower cap so the product does dry on my hair and can work for those 20 minutes. My hair tends to be on the coarse dry side so my hair color may last longer rather than someone that has natural oily skin or hair. I don't shampoo my hair everyday either my hair texture couldn't handle that and turn to hard straw lol. I tend to wash my hair once every ten days plus I don't use shampoo with sulfates and harsh chemicals and most times I honestly just use a Aussie condition to shampoo and moisturizer my hair without stripping the natural oil and color from my hair. Ladies I have great results and the color last 8-12 weeks or even longer for me . Best of all I can mix different colors of the BC collection and create my custom color. Sometimes I want more red highlights and mixed the cedar or reddish brown with ash brown. Mix the 2 colors in a bowl and apply.
