Not rat proof. My rats chewed through it in one day.
It didnāt last long at all, itās so disappointing. Iām sewing it up, but I think my rats will just chew a new hole in no time. Itās literally just felt.

Small opening, but works well for a medium sized hedgie
Very small opening, other than that, it's perfect. I added a small piece of fleece for my headgehog to cuddle under.

BEWARE OVERHEATING
WE PURCHASED THIS FOR OUR TWO YOUNG RATS THAT WE JUST ADOPTED. WE WENT ON AN EVENING WALK FOR 20 MINUTES AND THE RAT HAD A HEAT STROKE. AFTER TWO DAYS OF WATCHING HER TO SEE IF SHE WOULD GET BETTER, ONLY TO SEE SHE IS LOSING WEIGHT AND BREATHING IS GETTING WORSE, WE ARE TAKING THE POOR THING TO THE VET TODAY AND MOST LIKELY THEY WILL NEED TO PUT IT DOWN. SO SAD, DO NOT USE THIS FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN SUGAR GLIDERS, ESPECIALLY OUTSIDE!!!!!!

That price though
This product works great for my sugar gliders but the price is cheaper to get it through exotic nutrition website then it is here on Amazon.

Small bag, also strap is short and not to be worn as a cross body bag.
