The Toddler's Handbook: Bilingual (English / Russian) (английский / ... 100 Words that every Ki (Russian Edition)

Fantastic book with 43 pages of material (approx. 2-3 pictures and words per page). I highly recommend getting this book if you are interested in learning new Russian words yourself and/or teaching your toddler words. My 1-year-old daughter is constantly reaching for this book and wanting to look at the pictures/bright colors.I encountered a couple issues/concerns though. The first is in the attached photo where there appears to be a misprint. The Russian sound for a bumblebee should be Бзз-бзз but the second part was misprinted into English (not a big deal). Second is I recommend the hardcover copy versus the softcopy, unless you have older toddlers. After a couple weeks, my daughter has already bent the book numerous times that the book bent out of shape. She has made a small rip on one of the pages because the pages are thin (feels slightly thicker than computer paper), but I figure page quality will be the same for the hardcover book version.Overall, this is still a five-star quality book for the amount of words and different categories the book offers.

It is a good book and my toddler really likes it. A lot of pictures, so it keeps my toddler busy. However, I find the translation of some of the words very funny, clearly this was not done by a native speaker (should be checked by a native speaker prior to release). The transcription is even worse, many words are not spelled correctly. i do not really care about it, so it is fine as is for us but may not be very good for someone who is trying to learn Russian.

This is an embarrassment for a book. The alphabet in it is the English alphabet! How does that make any sense when it’s a book to learn Russian??? How did this book even get printed? False advertising. We were so excited to get it and it’s just awful. Returning immediately.

It’s a good book, I like the way they did it and it has a lot of information, I checked with a few of my Russian friends and a few of the words aren’t the most widely used form but it’s not that big of a deal as long as you know which words to substitute. Overall it’s a great find and I like it.

So we are native Russian speakers trying to teach our little one the language at home, and I wanted a version of the "first 100 words" in Russian to have the word and the picture to expand the baby's exposure and vocabulary. Well... I get they were trying to have a word for every letter but some of the words will have no use for a baby.

Wasn’t happy that it came bent. But am happy to learn more Russian words.

Just right for 18 mos. Clear pictures and vocabulary were just right for his level. Recommended.
